"I think I just blasted them."
It's no surprise that Star Wars is one of my favorite Lego themes. One of the set's I've recently picked up is 75229.
Box/Instructions
75229's box looks like any other Lego Star Wars box. The printed greebling is a nice touch that feels like the hallmark of an evergreen theme.
Parts
75229 has an average assortment of parts for a Lego Star Wars set, and does not necessarily stand our in that aspect. the count of 329 pieces in a $30 set makes this set more than a good value.
Minifigures
75229 comes with Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and a Stormtrooper.
Luke comes his standard Episode IV design that we've seen since 2016. He comes with a bracket for Leia to hang onto and a white utility belt, but I leave them off of the minifigure because I think they look goofy.
Leia's Episode IV design finally makes it to a mass retail set after being only available in the Death Star set for two or three years. I love the new design as it's more faithful to the film that previous versions, but I also have a soft spot for the old design because nostalgia.
The Stormtrooper's design as usual is excellent. I don't know how, but Lego consistently raises the bar whenever they redesign the Stormtrooper minifigure. The torso and legs are identical to the 2014 Stormtrooper, but the redesigned helmet is more detailed than last, and now features dual molding. My only criticism with the new Stormtrooper is that the helmet now feels slightly oversized, but that's a flaw I can live with.
The build
75229's build actually feels eerily like a Minecraft set because the majority of the model is co posed of bricks, rather than the usual mix of bricks and plates that I usually see in Lego Star Wars sets.
The completed model
I admit the final model is not impressive. However, the set does win me over the play features. The door on the right side of the model can pulled up to open, and pressing on the lever releases the door. The bridge can extend and retract very easily. The platform where turning a gear makes the Stormtrooper works perfectly. However, the actual grappling play features leaves much to be desired
Overall opinion
While the set might not the best Lego has ever made for the Star Wars line, it makes for a great playset, and I anticipate what else Lego will make for the Star Wars line.

Nice parts pack for your money
Ah Nexo Knights. Also known as Knightjago, this is an underrated theme with some really nice sets, some of which include equally nice parts. I'm going to taking a look at the ones I can afford.
Box/Instructions
The box itself is actually really unique and cool. As with all the sets in the line, I like the futuristic look on the boxes.
Parts
You get a very nice assortment of transparent and unique pieces for such a small price. The pieces you get in the set include but are not limited to trans-blue Nexo knight armor (with the 4 studs on the back), Clay's visor in trans-blue, Chima fire-wings, some mixel pieces, and some very nice trans blue swords that are a new mold. It's also worth mentioning that we get some of those hole-studs in light grey.
Minifigures
Included in the set is Clay, the main hero of the theme from what I've seen of the TV show. He's essentially the Lloyd Garmadon of Nexo Knights. Anyway, this is a very nice variant of the character, his armor cast almost entirely in blue. the only exceptions are the trans- blue bits of his armor, and the nice orange highlights throughout the model. The sword arms are actually pretty nice-looking on Clay.
The build
The build is somewhat mediocre, being a simple, smaller build that essentially a weapons rack. It is a nice break, however, from some of the more complicated sets.
The completed model
All you have for the completed build is a weapon rack.
Overall opinion
This set in all honestly is a weapons rack, but a nice one. the set actually has some really nice elements in it.

Pohatu - Master of Sad Potatoes
I hate this set as much as Pohatu Hates Scorpios.
I'm usually a very passive person when it comes to LEGO sets. However, the best way I can describe this set is as Lazy. I'm usually a HUGE Pohatu nut, but his set just feels...meh.
Let's take a look at the set if you're wondering what gripes I have with the set.
Box/Instructions
I actually kind of dig the 2015 BIONICLE boxes. Sure, they're not canisters, but what you expect? Plastic Canisters are expensive. Just look at how much they are on Bricklink.
Parts
One of the few things 2015 Pohatu has going for him are his parts. Dark Orange parts make a very welcome return, along with the Trans-Neon Yellow Bones.
Minifigures
This is a BIONICLE set. What do you think?
The Build
The build is about the same as the other 2015 Masters - CCBS Bones, Gearbox, Shells, you get the idea.
The Completed Model
This is where the figure officially begins to fall apart (not literally, of course.) Pohatu himself just seems so bland and uninteresting. Maybe it's the lack of shoulder pads; I don't know. All I know is that I don't like him.
Overall Opinion
Is he the worst BIONICLE set ever? No, he's not a BIONICLE Stars set. However, He isn;t the best BIONICLE set ever either. He's just somewhere in between.
Overall, Pohatu's not that great. I do sort of recommend him if you're a G2 Completionist. Other than that, he's just alright.
At the risk of repeating myself, I say this (quite possibly again): 2015 Pohatu is not the worst BIONICLE set ever made, but he certainly isn't the best BIONICLE set ever made either. He's just somewhere in the middle, like a sad Potato.
EDIT: Grammar Issues I caught
