Nice addition to grow your collection with wide variety of parts
I mostly got this set for the versatile parts and the general building blocks to grow my collection. It did not disappoint.
Building experience:
The included ideas are cute and easy to build; there are plenty of bricks left over to create your MOCs.
There aren't minifigs in the box, but thanks to the eyes and SNOT bricks, every manual gives you instructions to build your own astronauts or aliens with the bricks. I really liked that, despite being a classic set, there were numbered bags and extra ideas about what to build from them, so if you want, you can spread the experience of opening a new Lego bag for several days.
Parts:
You can find almost everything in here, like bananas, pink and gold and other coloured frogs, pumpkins, pink leaves, swords, yellow diamonds, golden stars, and small guns, good for building aliens and astronauts but also, in general, to grow your collection.
There are tyres included, so you can build at least one car. Some small windows and doors are in the set, so you can build a house if you wish. And, of course, flying saucers and rockets.
Playability:
There are plenty of creatures and vehicles to play with after assembling them, and plenty of options to build anything you want, not just space-related stuff. If you build on a small scale, it does not feel like you are using a classic set; the colours can be cohesive enough.
I think this set is great value for money if you just want to build something small or want some variety in a set. The only downside is that it comes in a cardboard box, so after opening it, you have to provide your own storage solution to store the bricks.
I wish there were more 1x4 bricks, but I can manage with what the set offers.
Overall, I am very pleased with this set and wish there would be other classic sets like this with not-so-childish themes.
