A "long term" target, an Amazon Prime day deal meant this was ordered sooner than expected. A really enjoyable build and a good-looking final model, but a few areas that seem to lack just slightly.

The designers have captured the essence of the real thing very well, and some of the detail is superb, especially around the front splitter, side panels and the removable engine bay cover. The build was very enjoyable, and relatively straightforward if you have done other Technic vehicle sets. I liked the mechanism for the scissor style doors, it is a very clever design and looks superb.

I felt the biggest letdown was the front wheel arches being left as a rather big gap, which looks odd. It would have been good if they had full cover over the wheels. Playability wise, there is a steering mechanism that can be operated via the gear on the air intake or the steering wheel, but as for most large Technic sets it is more about the build and display rather than play.

Overall, I am pretty happy with the set. It was an enjoyable build with my son and slots in nicely with the rest of the car collection. The added bargain of Prime Day means the next set is hopefully not far away!
