    A Non Regretable Choice

Written by (AFOL , gold-rated reviewer) in Saudi Arabia,

I saw this set in one of our online selling websites and I loved to have it, you could say a love from first.
When I received the package I got surprised by the size of the box, as its too big for this very small easy build set.

Parts are mostly basic, 2 cornered tan tone plates and a 4X4 tan tone plate, basic bricks and slope bricks, but the accessories are nice:

    • The Horse printed on both sides of the body
    • Dastan Swords
    • Spears
    • The Assassin hand claw
    • The Axe, and I have to say I loved the style of the blades, it gives you some rusty old metal
    • Snake and a Scorpion
    • 2 Gems (1 Red, 1 Green)
    • Grey Leaf
    • Sand bush

    It comes with 4 minifiguers:

    • Dastan: the Main Character of the movie with two swords, and two sided face, Happy face and an angry face.
    • Skeleton: The old school skeleton that you could rotate the arms in 360, and easily takes off the body
    • 2 Assassins (I only saw the movie once, so I don't know their names except for Dastan): have the same head cover but with different heads, and one wearing black and the other dark navy blue (Recently I have placed them in my castle's jail as they look like ISIS :P)

    The completed model

Nice desert scene that it could also be used as a secret vault, made it my castle's vault, I also did it in a corner shape, and I liked it much better that way

    Overall opinion

I have my own imaginary, so I combined it with my only castle 6085, as an outdoor secret vault, and I loved making it in a corner shape much more than a straight scenery, price was too high for a small set, maybe because its a 2010 set and I got it in Feb 2015.

If you like the old style horses and you were able to find it, go for it, last chance, I didn't regret buying it.

    Nice set of mini figures

Written by (Parent) in United States,

    Pro:
    4 mini figures
    horse
    cheap

    Con:
rest of the set are boring

So for $10.99, you get 4 mini-figure plus a horse and some unique pieces. Not a very interesting set but highly playable.

    Great introductory set

Written by (AFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in United States,

My first foray into the Prince of Persia line, this set amazed me with it's wonderful minifigs. The print on the horse is beautiful. I also really loved the minifigs. The bandits look great and are armed with really great weapons. Dastan's swords and dual sword holster are also fun (and brand new).

The scenery is a bit lackluster, but the sandy colors rock, and the treasure stash is cool. The snake and scorpion also boost the scenery and playability. So overall this set rocks. Get it if you just want to see how you like the Prince of Persia theme.

Building experience is only low b/c there is so little to really put together.

Not an absolute steal, but good for the price.

    Best Battle Pack Ever!

Written by (TFOL) in United States,

When I got this set at Toys R Us, I had to decide between it or Ambush in Cairo. I ended up buying this, and when I got home, I was really glad that I did.

The set itself is a very quick but satisfying build. I absolutely love the way they made the base, and the gem's hiding place actually works well for once!

The pieces were absolutely great! The silver claws are brilliant; absolutely wonderful for MOCing. The set also includes awesome new hoods for the Hassansins, which look wonderful on the minifigs. Dastan's sword holder is also very cool; the first Lego sheath ever! Dastan's hair is also really cool; another wonderful MOCing piece. The Hassansin's faces are also absolutely wonderfully done.

I was very pleased with what came with the set. For the first time in a long time, we've got a ten dollar set that actually includes a horse, two animals, two gems, four figures, AND a bunch of new custom weapons!

The figures are also amazingly detailed. From custom weapons to custom faces to extremely well done, printed bodies, these figures completely make the set.

The playability of the set is about as expected from a set this size. After a few times, the set itself gets old (though using the minifigs for other sets never gets old). However, if added to a larger set like the Battle of Alamut, this set will never get old.

My only cons to the set would be:

    1. The claws and Dastan's sword are made out of cheap, chinese plastic, instead of the quality plastic of older Lego sets.
    2. Personal preference, but in the movie, the snakes that the Hassansins uses are black, not red. But again, not a problem, just preference...
    3. Too expensive for its amount of pieces. I mean, normally I wouldn't complain about something like this, but $11 for 67 pieces? That's almost 20 cents a piece!

Overall, this set is absolutely amazing. If you're on the edge about it, then get it. Even if you don't like the Prince of Persia line, get it, because the figures are absolutely worth it.

My Third Prince of Persia set

Written by (TFOL , silver-rated reviewer) in United States,

This is a very good set.

    Pros
    - Minifigs (Prince Dastan,Claw Hassasin,Hatchet Hassasin,and Skeleton),

    - Rare pieces such as Horse (1),Jewels (2),Snake (1),Scorpion (1),Old version of
Skeleton (1 [finally a skeleton with movable arms and emotionless skull!]),Claws
(2 [three if you count the extra]),and dark sand Bush,

    - Fun to play with

    Cons
    - Hassasin claws and dastan's swords get nicks and scrapes in them when held by
    minifigs,
    - Bush's spikes will bend and sometimes even fall off if used too roughly,
    - Should have come with Whip Hassasin instead of skeleton,
    - Should come with Dagger of Time (not that it matters since I have it from The
    fight for the Dagger set),

    Overall a 5/5
