For any sonic fan, getting both super sonic and super shadow in the same set is enough to make this set a good value. However, Lego was gracious enough to provide more quality and quantity than their current standard for licenced sets. The biolizzard build is much larger than expected. It's approximately 30cm long, and it doesn't feel light either. Along with that, the energy pod exploding feature is a lot of fun to work with the sphere launcher. Speaking of, while adult fans won't care about the sphere launcher, it is a great addition for younger fans who want to play with it, as it doesn't require them to buy other sets to enjoy the features of the main build. Good value, interesting part recolours, good play features, accurate to the games, this set has it all.

While budget limited how many sets I could purchase on Jan 1st at my local store, this set and the Cyclone had to be my first of 2025 and I was not disappointed.

Biolizard V Super Shadow is a fun set with a good amount of play features and two awesome Figures. I paid $70 and do think it was worth it, just. The main and really only build is the Biolizard itself. It has a lot of moveable joints and poseability on its limbs, tail and head/neck. The build is very accurate and has a cool play feature with its life support being able to explode and reveal a Chaos Emerald.

The "side build" is another ball launcher, which would add tonnes of play for kids but just sits with other technic for me personally while the Biolizard is now proudly front and centre of my Sonic display. I would have liked some other side build, maybe a terrain piece or just something to make it feel like a more bang for buck set but overall I am really happy with the size, poseability and accuracy of Biolizard.

Now the most important part, the figures. We got another Super Sonic, which for me is great as I missed the Drillster set due to by the time I had saved enough to by it, this set had leaked so I just held off. He is perfect with an awesome colour and great head piece to really highlight his super form. But the real reason to buy this set is for the glorious and perfected figure that is Super Shadow.

He has risen. Ascending from on high he rides down like an angel. Super Shadow is perfect in every sense of the word. The lighter yellow was something I thought surely lego would skip and ignore but they did it. His printing is stunning and the quality of the red on the yellow is great, honestly thought it would go a shade of orange or something but its flawless. He is right up the top for Best figure for 2025 and the year has only just started. This set gets you both Super forms for the main dudes and tbh I wouldn't be surprised if this is the only set for a while with super shadow for the foreseeable future.

At the end, I am giving this set a 9/10, held back just because I feel like its 5-10 dollars too much and is missing a small side build or something to show off the Chaos Emeralds Shadow and Sonic use to go Super. Definitley pick this up if you are a Sonic or Shadow fan.
