Friends, I wonder if you might be able to help this chestnut sapling.
I put a chestnut in the fridge over the winter, and planted it in a pot on my balcony February. The first week of April, it showed a shoot above the ground. It was growing fast, so we gave it a much bigger pot (about 40 cm deep) with fresh soil in May. It has received good organic compost tea every 3 weeks or so.
About a month ago, it suddenly went from a very healthy sapling to having these yellow spots on the leaves.
We sprayed it thoroughly with safer's soap, but the spots have continued to grow.
We wondered if it was getting too much sun, so we moved it to partial/dappled shade, no change. We've tried watering it less, and also watering it more, no change.
The problem started just before the really bad heat wave here in Austria, so I don’t think it’s connected to the heat, but I could be wrong.
Any tips for keeping it alive?
