Killer find from the used bin today!
Health’s “Disco” series began as remix albums of material from the #noise rock band’s studio albums, but evolved into something much cooler starting with THIS one.
Here, Disco4 is a collab album; where each track is a NEW song with other artists.
And the artists they collaborate with on D4 are an eclectic bunch; Nine Inch Nails, Soccer Mommy, Full Of Hell, Lamb Of God, JPEGMAFIA, Xiu Xiu, Poppy, and Youth Code to name a few.
This is excellent music to execute other artistic endeavors to, like painting or drawing.
I’d like to call attention to the “Nine Inch Nails” collab, which is essentially Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross with Health vocals.
“Isn’t Everyone” has a MASSIVE synth line and beat, and has one of the catchiest Health melodies in their cannon.
Pretty cool record, man.

THIS is a compilation of the band’s first two singles on Decoy (Gutted, Our New Skin).
Really great band with excellent songs.

A very weird, dark, 4-song #artrock record that I found in a dollar bin.
This record has the most interesting cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Are You Experienced?” on it.
It’s as if Ministry or My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult had 40 beers and decided to take a stab at it.
It, along with the other three songs, are propulsive, pounding and industrial sounding.
If there’s any of my followers that hail from (or live in) Australia that have any further information on this bat-shit weird band, I’d appreciate the info.
Until then, I’ll keep being baffled by THIS then.

Holy shit!
One of TWO incredible finds today!
Rarely remembered, fully unheralded.
I forgot ALL about this album until I saw it staring me in the face from a used bin today.
Blistering gnarliness from the Bay Area.
This record is wonderfully weird, pummeling, noisy and exciting. Hyper-visceral in the same way The Jesus Lizard or Refused were.
They only made two albums, and this is the only one on vinyl, and the only one I’ve ever heard.
I love my unsung #90s gems, and THIS shit is definitely one of them!

This was a cheap, blind buy from a used bin last week. I knew nothing of what it was, or of the band in general. And to be honest, I still don’t know much about them.
A three piece from Calgary, Alberta, who recorded this E.P., one full length, and one digi-pak CDR. 💿
Nothing groundbreaking here, just some nice tunes worthy of a $5 bill.
