AVOID Car Planet at all costs
AVOID Car Planet at all costs — dangerous,faulty cars and abysmal service.
I bought a £17,300 Toyota C-HR from Car Planet, and it broke down within 10 minutes of leaving the lot. An independent inspection later revealed severe, unrecorded prior accident damage, a misaligned engine subframe, and a dead battery which were not disclosed . Their advertised "150-point inspection" is a total myth.
Their after-sales service was insulting and useless. After two months, over 40 ignored phone calls, endless emails, and being hung up on by management, I formally rejected the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. To make matters worse, they tried to shortchange my refund by £600 for mileage that was accrued almost entirely by driving back and forth to their own service centres for repairs. I also found previous owners' sensitive personal data left in the glovebox, which staff rudely refused to take back.
They sell unsafe vehicles, ignore basic consumer rights, and operate with complete deceit and disregard for their customers. Save yourself months of financial loss and extreme stress—do not buy from Car Planet.
