I did the RYA day skipper theory course with Ardent . I cannot say enough good things about this course and especially Ardent . Their online training for the theory course is exceptional Very good content and a great presentation , from their own yachts, which makes it so real. The videos were so well done and informative and there was 24/7 support. Any question was answered within the shortest of times and the support around the time of the exam was great. They really do want the student to have a very good and deep understanding of the topics and do well in the exam . I highly recommend Ardent for any course !!

Learning with Ardent was a great pleasure their method of teaching I found easy to understand and readily absorb ... and when I didn't a quick phone call answered any questions I had .. a great team and one I would thoroughly recommend

I just finished the Day Skipper theory with Ardent Training and the course is really well made, very clear and complete. Also the all crew is super reactive if you need any help or information.

Unsurpassed. Having done a lot of distance learning courses, this was very professionally put together. The accessibility of help and chat with instructors was unbelievably responsive. Also, the balance between acquiring knowledge and then checking was just right for me. Genuinely haven't seen a better put together online course across any discipline.

way too long, the whole clourse takes over hundred of hours of listening to lengthy explanations that could have taken at least half ogf the time

This is the second online sailing instruction outfit that I've dealt with. It is far superior to the previous folks; worth the higher price. Complete lessons. Good and timely feedback. Only critique is that some of the graphics in the exercises, even when enlarged, are too small to accurately see.

Lively instruction from different personalities makes it easier to sit through many hours of streaming. Colorful memorization tips along the way proved helpful during the exam. Turnaround time on queries and submitted work is unbelievably fast, with very focused comments.

The coursework was all user friendly and importantly the staff reply to all correspondence and questions quickly and with great enthusiasm. Seem like genuinely nice and helpful people.

I really loved the live lectures from aboard boats alongside the slides. The teaching was good and the easily accessible support excellent. I was helpful to do a mock before the exam. I sometimes had glitches getting the second slide to open on each module but the staff remedied any issues I had.

The lessons are clear and well taught. I particularly like the option to switch between video and slides. There's loads of additional support, so you never need to feel lost with a question. Thanks so much!

An amazing team at Ardent. Hugely supportive, very friendly, and excellent teaching style. I loved the learning resources that I could access at any time. The mini quizzes kept me on track, and on exam day I felt hugely supported with the team there responding to me when needed through within app texts.

Course: Day Skipper Theory.
The Ardent team has made learning online easy! The training crew were very attentive to my needs and guilded me through the parts of the course I struggled with. Great communication and everything was explained in detail that I could understand.
I left school at 14 and struggled with academic stuff so for me to pass this speaks volumes about this online course.

Course material is laid out in a very easy to understand manner. Instructors are quick to respond and very helpful. Highly recommend!

There is a lot of knowledge to absorb, but the level of explanation is extremely high and the online platform is excellent. I like the way most learning is presented on board the yacht. Lots of resources available and super fast support from the instructors. Patient and thorough work through all the examples means there’s nothing in the exam you haven’t already covered and done yourself several times, so not as daunting as it might otherwise be.

I have just completed the Essential Navigation & Seamanship Course. The quality of the training material is outstanding. The video tutorials, accompanied by the slides, make the lessons easy to follow, practical, and enjoyable. You can see the presenters are genuinely interested in the material they are presenting and engaged. I have no hesitation in recomending Ardent Training. I have now signed up for the RYA Fast Track to Coastal Skipper/YachtmasterOffshore Theory Course.

I completed my theory for the day skipper with ardent training and I have to say this was top class experience. The material is very well explained, and they managed to keep every lesson entertaining. The small knowledge checks after every module really helped me to retain more information at the end of the day. The platform and the videos are very well made and the instructors are really easy to get attached to, if it was not online I would happily grab a beer with them haha

The course is well organised and concise without cutting corners. I started it about a month ago and have just passed the exam. It definitely has been a steep learning curve for me but I felt supported throughout. Particularly impressed by the response time when I needed further explanation.
