BT SUB-CONTRACTOR EXCELLENT

up until today it has been night mare with BT with difficulty in getting any real answers, today a sub contractor engineer "Ashraf " came and fixed my digital voice set up and broad band connection with in 20 minutes. simply excellent. he was spot on time and very efficient. the 4 stars I have given isn't for BT but for the excellent service provided by this sub-contractor. BT should use him all the time.

Scammers

What everyone else said. Customer service is appalling. Happy enough to take your money, but not happy to invest it back into providing sufficient staff or properly trained staff. Online support agents are beyond incompetent. Phones are hard to get through on. Self-service is a bunch of dead ends and blind alleys chasing your own tail.

The stealth highway robbers of the industry

After more than 5 years with BT I have finally got round the getting a better deal elsewhere. The service provided was for the most part adequate but they sure like to ramp up those bills on the qt. When I finally left I was paying £54/month for broadband and tv. What a rip off. I now have virgin at double the speed and half the cost.
My overall opinion of the company is that they will screw you for every penny they can and are not an honourable provider.
This unfortunately is the way that all the big providers act. What we need is a new company that aren't there to simply to maximize profits but gave a bit more empathy with the average joe who is currently struggling to keep their head above water.
So long BT.
Out of principle you won't ever get anymore business from me with your current company model. Shame on you

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Failed to deliver the service but didn't tell me my Internet wasn't going to be connected in time. Blamed their competitors for holding things up. Spent over two hours on the phone to to their customer sevice. Their customer service advised me to cancel the order as that was the quickest way to get the matter resolved. Suddenly a direct debit appears in my account even though I've had no service. Worst company I have had the misfortune to have to deal with.

0 Customer Service

I can't believe how they still have customers if this is how they are treated.

Beyond Awful

Awful. BT cut off my internet by mistake - upheld my complaints, paid me compensation and then still chased me for money it had already said in writing I didn't owe! Because it owns EE and OpenReach, BT exploits a dominant market position by acting with corporate contempt towards customers.

Awful "telecoms" company

Awful "telecoms" company.
They can't be contacted. Not without a 20 + minute wait each time.
You call in their advertised hours, but that team has gone home.
They switch off your service, but charge you.
They don't cancel rhe service you've requested, but charge you.
They don't deal with complaints for 14 days or more.

The worst possible provider of business…

The worst possible provider of business broadband. We were upgraded to digital WiFi for our phones although this is not what we asked for. Since switching to BT this has been a significant downgrade, we cannot get through an hour without packet loss and continual disruption to not only broadband but now also our phone line. God bless ‘progress’.

If I could I would give 0 stars. I have informed them about this review

I have informed them about this review. I rang on the 18/8 to cancel, I disconnected my equipment at this point. I have returned my equipment in the envelope they sent me this month. Apparently my contract does not end to the 1st October despite me being out of contract 8th September and informing them about leaving before the end of my contact end. At most I would be willing to go to pay to 18/9 a month after I said I would be leaving. I am fuming as they have taken 62.93 for sept/October in advance (despite cancelling and no equipment) with only an entitled 15 pound refund in October. How does that work

BT? Misery guaranteed.

At best, BT is an obstacle course for customers. At worst, BT abuse customers.

BTOpenreach's D botched his job at a BT exchange cutting out my broadband. This has happened before in 8/23. Kelly Communications' M and Openreach's T failed to fix the faults in their subsequent visits. After no fewer than 30 phone calls of lengthy waits, Openreach failed to turn up, 4 times, for any of the booked re-visits, when I desperately need my broadband for legal matters with strict time limits, about which I had told the BT agents every time I called. Investigation says that BT's agent B in Ireland had blocked all the revisit bookings of BT's agents in England. Why is B in his job? My emails to BT's manager Sarah Middleton is undelivered.

To the surprise of no one, £1billion was reportedly recently wiped off BT shares.

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company. I have broadband, phone and sport through them, initially mis-sold me a broadband product that I couldn't actually get due to area I live in, eventually got it sorted along with the phone and pricing re adjusted. Told at the time I could remove the phone if I didn't use as I was unsure at time that I would need it as I mainly use my mobile. Contacted BT to remove phone and was told I couldn't as under contract even though I supplied the initial person I spoke with and their reply to me which I have a copy of. 06/09/24 received an email stating complaint being looked into, nothing heard to date and can't reply to email.......so annoyed by this company and wish I had never gone back to them....avoid at all costs they are one big con. I will not be renewing when the time comes and this time I will not be returning. All this because they don't want to lose £7 a month!!!!

Do not sign up to bt tv

Do not sign up to bt tv!
What Was sold to me upon signing up to bt tv was that they will show all European football matches on tnt ! But suddenly this evening its not the case ! Some champions league matches are no longer available on tnt and now im told i also have to pay and subscribe to amazon prime to watch some of these matches , so now its a monopoly which matches will be shown if any on tnt. . Yet my bt tv monthly fee hasn’t gone down to accommodate this, it’s gone up . Soon as March comes I’m off somewhere else and I can’t wait !

Awful customer service from call centre

Moved back from Sky to BT and already regretting it after truly appalling customer service from a 'team leader' in their call centre. No working phone since moving back, yesterday was told would be working by midnight but today still not working. Team leader first claimed I hadn't called yesterday, then claimed I was told 72 hours, then spend time telling me off for calling at weekend. Tried to tell me there was no complaints process and that BT didn't have to stick to any install date. Has eventually logged a complaint but now texted me to say not to expect a response about phone line for a week

Bt drop out issue.

I have been with bt for a few years now and never had an issue until last month.
I am paying for 60mbps with a stay safe guarantee of 40 maps I have noticed my streaming keeps buffering for a long term I have contacted bt who booked an engineer out within the week and he stated there's no fault a week later still having issues so I've rang them back and they are sending a new router out and sending an openreach engineer to check services outside I hope they will sort this issue out. Bt have been good in dealing with the issue but for £35 per month and speed tests of 41mbps I do feel as though I am being ripped off as every other company is far cheaper. I will update on this issue next weekend.
