Outstanding property

Outstanding property equipped with everything you need and more. Has an warm and welcoming feel to it that instantly made you feel relaxed. All spotlessly clean and well maintained. Clearly loved and cared for by the owner. We stayed to celebrate a family big birthday and the property's layout lends itself perfectly for this with space to relax and space to sit for family dinners or play board games. Really enjoyed our stay.

A great cottage

We had a really lovely short break at Heathend Cottage.
It is spacious enough for three people, comfortable, warm and well equipped for short stays.
Do your research on places to eat or where to visit beforehand, as internet connection we found to be weak.

We had a fantastic experience with no issues at all. The owners were helpful, kind, and welcoming. The location is incredibly peaceful and quiet. We easily found the property using the provided instructions. There is a lovely private area for parking your car. The property is spotless and tidy, equipped with all the essentials you need, plus some extra thoughtful touches. You can truly see the incredible care they have put into it. Overall, it's a luxurious place for a holiday.

Very clean and well equipped with comfy seating and bed. Nice enclosed garden and panoramic views to the front. Well located for exploring Falmouth and the surrounding area. Nice welcome pack. Very cosy on cool evening and very quiet. Would recommend and hope to visit again.

Lovely sized house for larger groups

Lovely sized house for larger groups. Still spacious even when at full capacity. Games room and hot tub are great additions. Some parts more modern than others but if booking an old farmhouse, you want a bit of rustic authenticity anyway! Fab location, short drive to pubs, shops etc. Plenty of do locally. Walks and waterfall are beautiful.

Blissful stay in Grasmere

Such a cute little bungalow right in the village with a private drive to park on. Generously supplied with essentials for the duration of stay which many aren’t. Plenty of space and super peaceful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Tenby Holiday Cottage

Upon arrival the property was cold and dank, not cleaned properly or ready for occupation. Central heating was set inappropriately for the time of year. Provisions for our stay were inadequate, with single tea towel and worn washing up sponge amongst other items. Standards were not met. It spoiled our holiday.

Perfect

Very welcoming lodge, lights and heating on, warm with subtle fragrances throughout the lodge. Friendly and kind owners on hand to help but not at all intrusive. Clean, well equipped, and TV had streaming services enabled which was really useful too. Swimming lake was perfect and access from lodge and sauna all easy. Can’t really fault the place at all!

The cottage was lovely

The cottage was lovely. Owners were very prompt with queries we had before & during our stay. We were three single girls away for a relax time with our pups, it was great all round. Secure garden as long as the dogs are not jumpers! Great off lead walk up the reservoir (there are MANY grouse though!).

The hot tub was ace, if a bit of a faff to heat, but stayed warmed for a very long time. The wood stove was also very very efficient at heating the property!

Need to book local pub, recommended!

Highford Farm close to the picture postcard village of Clovelly

We’ve used “holidaycottages.co.uk” on several occasions and have always found them good value compared to rival companies!
Our recent holiday at the The Dairy House, Highford Farm, close to Clovelly the perfect location for us to explore North Devon/Cornwall with stunning views.
The property was warm, clean, cosy and spacious with all the amenities needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

A wonderful autumn getaway

What a fantastic autumnal stay at Allan’s Cottage. Excellently equipped kitchen and utility room, very clean, and other facilities were brilliant. All information set out in the folder in the dining room sideboard was really helpful. Great location for star gazing, woodland walks around the castle and viaduct, the forest drive, exploring local bastle’s, sketching, and relaxing by a crackling fire in the evening. A real home from home and so welcoming. Didn’t want to leave!

Hidden gem Bakewell

Absolutely lovely cottage in a fantastic location for walking into Bakewell. Bedrooms are a little on small side but giant bathroom more than makes up for this. The sun trap was a lovely place to sit and listen to the rain in Autumn. Our springer spaniel loved lying in there on the bed that was provided. The quietness of the street made our stay very peaceful. Parking, once you figure it all out, is a welcome bonus. The park just over the road was beautiful in Autumn also.

From the beginning we a little bit stuck to get true there because of the bridge which was closed.Just from the arrived we felt very welcome, giving all the information off popular places to visit, showing all the property by Paul.We had everything we needed including towels, hot tub robes, kitchen stuff. You just need to have your own shampoo and washing powder. The free range eggs was absolutely warm touch from them.Thank you so much Rona and Paul!We will be back

Quiet and peaceful break away

Brilliant accommodation with nice little touches, with bath robes, tea, coffee and milk. The remote and peaceful setting was perfect for us. 5 stars from us and we are already planning our return to the Lily of the valley.

This barn conversion is tasteful and excellent. Would heartily recommend a visit. With a short walk down to the river (where you can walk for miles) it is perfectly situated. Hosts were excellent. Beds very comfortable and clean and tidy cottage. Highly recommended with touches of luxury.

Excellent holiday stay

It was easy to book via the website and we were given all the required information plus the owner provided extra details via email which were very useful. The description and photos were accurate and the cottage was beautiful, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is a perfect spot for coastal…

This is a perfect spot for coastal walks that combine woodland, with Wisemans Bridge & Saundersfoot all within walking distance along a flat path suitable for bikes & scooters.
We've holidayed in Tenby Town itself for many decades but this break was a breath of fresh air.
The cottage is spotless clean, beds super comfy and everything catered for - a true home from home experience.
We were a party of 6 - grandmother, parents and 3 children aged 6,10 &12 and there was plenty of space. The owners have thoughtfully provided toys, books and jigsaws, and the kitchen is stocked with everything a family could need. The bonus for us was also the EV car charger, although Pembrokeshire has some of the best super fast and accessible chargers available in the UK from our experience over the past 2.5 years of travels - one less worry if you own an electric vehicle.
The area has so much to do all year round and in all weather's.
Thanks for sharing your home!

By far and away, the best dog friendly property we have ever stayed in

The Forge is a fantastic property for dog owners who want to experience the great beaches in South Wales.
Everything you might want has been thought about by Barbara and Dave, from a completely safe and secure front garden to towels and shampoo for damp dogs on their way back from a paddle in the sea.
Outside of being a great property for dog owners, The Forge is warm and cosy, with everything you need to just get away and enjoy a relaxing break.
It is well positioned, just 15 min walk to the sea and 5 mins to the local pub (which has both great food and great beer).
We will definitely be back again
