The financing process, particularly the facial scanning and document sign off, was extremely intrusive, overly complicated, and cumbersome. For the relatively small amount of financing we required, we were asked to personally guarantee assets worth more than 20 times the value of the loan.

You can finance a house for significantly more money and sign the documents electronically in minutes, yet this process took weeks and hours of work. The entire experience felt unnecessarily difficult and disproportionate to the amount being financed.

I understand that some of these requirements may be driven by regulation rather than Meridian directly. If that is the case, I believe financing companies like Meridian need to collectively push back on regulators and advocate for simpler, more efficient processes that still meet the necessary requirements while providing a much better customer experience.

These guys argued back and forth with our bank for a couple weeks. Took close to 6 weeks to even get paperwork from them. Upon review of paperwork and the bank’s issue with signing one of their documents, we decided not to use Meridian. We parted ways and thought things were over with. A month later I got a letter in the mail and Meridian put a lien on my property.

Absolutely horrible experience dealing with Meridian OneCap. Without question one of the most incompetent, unreliable, and unprofessional finance companies I have ever dealt with.

Communication is terrible. Emails and phone calls constantly go unanswered, even after being promised callbacks and updates multiple times. I repeatedly had to follow up myself just to get basic information that should have been handled properly the first time.

The lack of accountability, organization, and customer service is shocking for a company that handles equipment financing. What should have been a straightforward process turned into an ongoing headache filled with delays, confusion, and frustration.

After my experience, the poor reviews online make complete sense. I would never recommend Meridian OneCap to anyone looking for professionalism or reliable service.
