The Purse Clasp Book Sew Along ~ all together!

I have been a busy bee and have missed writing on the blog!
Today I wanted to share my clasp purses from the Purse Clasp Sew Along.
The Sew Along was hosted by eliseandemelie.com and you can find more info HERE
Each and every Clasp Purse was such fun to make!

The first clasp purse I made was the strawberry clasp purse.
The Strawberry pattern is from my book "Super Cute Paper Piecing".

The book comes with two clasps and this purse was made with one of them.
You can find the book and extra clasp hardware at Zakka Workshop on Etsy.

The second clasp purse was made using my nine patch coaster pattern you can find here.

The third clasp purse has my dresses paper piecing pattern for the focal point.
You can find the pattern for the dress in my book "Super Cute Paper Piecing".

The dress for the clasp purse was reduced to 45% of the original pattern!
The dress on the right is from the book and is 9" tall.

Last, but not least is the hexagon clasp purse.
It is so small that it fits in the palm of my hand!

Purse Clasp Book Sew Along

I am a sucker for a good sew along.  Even though I know I shouldn't start any new projects I could not resist the Purse Clasp Book Sew Along Hosted by Elise and Emelie

The Sew Along runs for four weeks starting February 19th and you can find all the details [HERE]

I purchased the book a while ago and this was just the push I needed to make some clasp purses.
I have made 'sew in' clasp purses but never the glue in type.  It was a lot easier than I thought.

This Strawberry purse in tiny at just 2 1/4" tall.
I used the strawberry pattern from my book Super Cute Paper Piecing.

The back of the purse uses a print from the 30's collection by Atsuko Matsuyama.
The red gingham is Carolina gingham from Robert Kaufmann Fabrics.

I made two nine patch blocks that will also become a clasp purse.
The instruction to make at the block can be found [HERE]

I also make this tiny dress with the pattern from my book "Super Cute Paper Piecing" for another clasp purse.
The original pattern was reduced to 45%.
The back of the purse will have that adorable Suzuko Koseki Fashion Print.

If you are on Instagram, be sure to tag your pics of any clasp purses you make with the hashtag #purseclaspbooksal

Party Dress

As of today I am caught up on All of my bee blocks.  This one is for Penny in the Ringo Pie Bee.
Penny requested garments and the like and I had already designed this 1950's party dress!
It is definitely similare to my vintage dresses pattern but a little more complicated.

Vintage Dress from Hemlock Vintage Clothing

It is inspired by this vintage dress I found on pinterest.
Making dresses in miniature is so much fun and I have more in the works.

Have a lovely day!

Vintage Dresses Pattern

Sometimes it takes me absolutely forever to complete a pattern!  The sun has been peeking through the window and It gave me an extra dose of energy this afternoon to get this pattern done.

The pattern includes 4 different 10" tall blocks - Sundress, Cap Sleeve, Cap Sleeve with Borders and Strapless Dress.  I will definitely be making a quilt with these mixing and matching fabrics!

I've listed the pattern in my Etsy shop.  I will also have it in my Craftsy shop shortly.
Have a lovely day!

WIP Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!!  I have been working on a pattern for a group of paper pieced dresses.
The pattern portion is done and now I'm sewing them up!! One down and two to go.
I'm envisioning a quilt for myself with 3 x 4 blocks!!!

I have a bit of a production line going.  I'm making a bunch of Pomme Potholders as gifts.

Be sure to Link up your WIP on Lee's blog - Freshly Pieced!
