Unanswered questions

So I am wanting to create an Alert so that when an agent has been on a call for 10 minutes it will ping them to say they are approaching an extended call and need to start wrapping up or to raise an extended call request.I am unsure on which of the Fields to use under the Agent product to use for the “Alert When”. 

I have sent faxes by opening a PDF, selecting Print and choosing RingCentral from the printers list. After the fax is sent, I click the "eye" icon in RC for Windows to see what the fax looks like, and the image quality is terrible. Is this what my customers are seeing when I send them a fax?

In the last week I had a couple of voicemail messages that did not make sense.  They appeared in some way malicious but I can’t figure out the angle. One sounded completely silent but had a somewhat natural but nonsensical text and another one was completely garbled and incomprehensible to me but again the automated transcription came pretty clear.  It feels like hidden nonsense messages within audio but I can’t figure out what could be the use.  

The instructions at https://appconnect.labs.ringcentral.com/crm/netsuite/ worked for our instance. Random notesRole: RingCentral Unified CRM Extension - Permissions The role shows Employee view permissions but the documentation does not. We have this set to None without issue. Notes Tab - we have Create instead of Full Opportunity & Sales Order - we have Edit instead of Full User Access Tokens - we have None instead of Full Why would the role/user need “User Access Tokens”? I cannot find any use of a user access token for the uses I’ve created. 🤔 I’ve not been able to determine how to handle “scheduled phone calls”. Example: sales rep comes in today and has 30 calls scheduled. I cannot find a way where the rep opens the scheduled calls, has RingCentral dial the phone, and upon call disconnect RingCentral updates/completes the scheduled call.  Would anyone have suggestions?

Good Morning. I am in the process of testing this with our netsuite integration and just using it at my desk. Our goal is to deploy to our call center of 12 employees that use the softphone to monitor 2 call ques.  Features they use are the HUD, DND, and manually taking themselves in and out of call ques for misc. reasons along with standard features.  My question is, is App connect intended to replace the exisitng softphone that the call center agents currently use ?  If so, are all the features in the softphone in app connect ? in my testing when I call in I have both the softphone and app connect ringing, I’m just trying to figure out how its inteded to be used.Also, I believe I read in one of the email’s that this going to be mograting to a paid option at some point.  Can anyone confirm that and if so what is the time line for that ?Thank you for the help 

Seem to not receive Call detail/memos into Netsuite if using Edge and app connect.  Thoughts on how to trouble shoot, or is this a known bug?

Is there a way to add additional names, nicknames to a user for to be used for the dial by name directory? For example the name Joseph or Joe has different first three letters but very common for people to call someone by both names. The issue is for name directory you can only find someone under one name not by both.

Hello,We’re using RingCentral entirely on App (computers Mac/Windows and Mobile App iOS/Android), with no physical desk phones.I’d like to allow multiple users to share two outbound phone lines, so we don’t have to pay for a separate direct line for every user.Is there a way to configure this in RingCentral ?Here’s our setup and what we’re trying to achieve: No desk phones, only the RingCentral app; Limit the number of simultaneous outbound calls (e.g. 2 max); Allow all users to share the same main company number for outbound caller ID.  We are a team of 10 people, including two members in customer relations. My ideal would be to have two outbound call lines.One reserved for my group: Customer Relations (2 members) The second is available to everyone: 10 members (including my two customer relations members).This avenue allows everyone to call while optimizing my monthly cost because it is rare that 2 outgoing calls are made at the same time.  Thank you for your help and any guidanc

We are having a couple issues with automatic call recording.When our people call out and they call a number that has a virtual assistant, our call recording message plays over the virtual assistant options. Should this be happening? We have customers that hang up as soon as the call recording message starts playing when we call because they think they are talking to a robot or spam. Has anyone found anything that helps with this? We tried putting our company name in the first part of it so they would know it was us, but that isn’t working as well as we hoped, and now the message is super long.

I move from Ooma to RingCentral becuse I was told it was better, but one thing I can’t find is Notification when you have a voicemail or a missed call, it did always show with the Ooma app.

I am trying to stream call from RingCentral CX using gRPC server. Found the following page: https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/using-streaming-nodes-in-ringcx-workflow-studio.html  However, this page does not provide any detailed information regarding the gRPC server implementation. Here we only must provide server address with security credentials. I mainly have three questions:  To implement gRPC server, clients need to know which server function to call. And I don’t see any scope where I can provide “. proto” file or configure the client streaming data through dedicated server function. How can I configure the call stream to find “.proto” schema?  I found a detailed implementation using WebSocket Server (WSS) (https://developers.ringcentral.com/engage/voice/guide/workforce/call-streaming/getting-started ). Is there any such working demo which implements a gRPC server?  Once we create a streaming workflow, is it applied to every call for every agent in the company? Or is it

I can’t find a way to setup voicemail to show on all extensions.

Hi all! We have been having an ongoing issue for weeks that has become quite frustrating. Every time we run a campaign (even if the campaign is still open) we are unable to download any reports regarding that campaign. It is pivotal that we have that information as that excel sheet is the basis for follow-up campaigns the next week. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are at our wits end. Hi Team,I’ve already added the required RingSense scopes to my application, but I still cannot retrieve the transcript and summary from the RingSense API. Every request returns a 403 Forbidden error.When I tried to access this API to get transcript & summary, it looks like not be granted permission:Question:Are there additional permissions or entitlements required to access transcript and summary data from RingSense?Expected Result:Able to retrieve call insights (transcript + summary) for valid record IDs once scope is granted.

Hello,My Yealink T33G phones keep resetting nightly. I’ve emailed Yealink at the direction of RingCentral Technical Support and this is what they directed but I cannot figure out within the phone IP log in how to update these settings. Any help is appreciated!  

HiI am working on a workflow that has some JS and I need to play different audio file greeting based on the DNIS of the incoming call. I am able to handle the DNIS and put in if condition for it but I am not able to play the audio prompt in the next node. get var P3 = "Name_of_Audio_File" And the next node is as follows  When I test call the workflow I get no audio.  Has any one been able to play audio file by using the file name in an a variable ?

When my user with a manager role in RingSense, try to create a custom tracker in RingSense, they do not have the option to do and create one.

Pulling my hair out.basiically , i’m writing a websocket listener (using php/laravel) to listen for incoming calls.i following the sample provided by RingCentral and Not able to get this working. (using theSDK) The code create the socket, then the subscription, however the subscription->subscription() returns{"eventFilters":[],"expirationTime":"","expiresIn":0,"deliveryMode":{"transportType":"PubNub","encryption":false,"address":"","subscriberKey":"","secretKey":""},"id":"","creationTime":"","status":"","uri":""} Shouldn’t the transportType = websocket?the code ran, but does not invoke whenever we have incoming calls.P.s I do have websocket and websocket subscription in my app scope. using JWTClient ID: 8wZCaIqPR4S2JP8UPr2RTwThank You! 

Does anyone have the information to submit a formal complaint to the company? According to the FCC, there should be information about this on the bill, but of course there isn’t. Here are my specific issues: Faxing works only intermittently, we’ve contacted them NUMEROUS times and get the run around every time, but I’m still paying for this As many others have stated, it is IMPOSSIBLE to reach support.  The phone line has hung up on my multiple times after being on hold.  Chat bot gives you the run-around.  You cannot create a ticket.At this point, I want to submit a formal complaint to the company, and the next step will be directly to the FCC if no resolution.
