Contral is an AI coding assistant that teaches while you build. In Build mode, a repo-aware agent writes code and explains each function, pattern and decision as it goes, and it can also explain edits made by other agents such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude Code. Learn mode is a structured curriculum inside a real editor, starting with Java. Defense mode asks developers to explain what was built before they ship it. Contral runs as an extension for VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Antigravity, Kilo Code and VSCodium, and as the Contral desktop IDE, currently in public beta.
