Why we built it

Ship with AI. Understand it.

AI agents write code faster than most people can read it. That speed is useful, but it leaves a gap: code you shipped and can't explain, debug or defend. We call that vibecoding, and we built Contral to close the gap without slowing you down.

In Build mode, Contral's agent writes the code and explains each change as it goes. Learn mode is a structured curriculum, starting with Java. Defense mode asks you to explain what was built before you ship it.

It runs as an extension for VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf and Antigravity, and as the Contral desktop IDE.
