Riverfront park design

Area could incorporate a beer garden for the coming Stone Brewing restaurant, an event lawn, a promenade, tidal pools and bicycle amenities for the Virginia Capital Trail.

On the north bank of the Columbia River, Vancouver, WA, is Vancouver’s newest waterfront development that brings the downtown to the rivers edge. In partnership with the City, Gramor, and a multi-disciplinary team, PWL Partnership created the detailed design for the public realm, parks, and open space plan along with the detailed waterfront park design for this 29-acre/12-hectare project site.

W04_GREEN AND SYSTEMS CITY DESIGN: Madrid RIO transforms the recovered spaces on both sides of the Manzanares river into a new “river-townscape”, creating a pedestrian public green space of almost seven kilometers from north to south.

Formerly a sewage canal, Liuchuan waterfront is now offers scenic walkways, artificial cascades and a showcase of the island’s native vegetation.
