Happy Father's Day

I created some Father's Day cards for my youngest son to give his Dad, I always create a couple so that he has a choice.

I used the Spellbinders Toolbox Essentials, my inspiration for this card came from Emily Leiphart on the Spellbinders Blog, I have used a sentiment from Hunkydory though - this is the card that he chose.

For my second card I used the same Hunkydory sentiment but this time I created a background with the Spellbinders Splatters BetterPress Plate & Die Set from the Wildflowers Collection, the stars are part of the Hunkydory die.

Thanks so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards, I hope you will join me then.

Birthday Chrysanthemums

I have four cards to share today, I used the Hunkydory In Full Bloom Deco-large collection, there are lots of beautiful florals in this collection.

I created this card for my son to give his Nan for her Birthday last year, I often use Hunkydory collections to make her cards because she loves flowers and Hunkydory have the most beautiful floral collections.

I decided to echo the shape of the topper to create this card base.  I don't use all of the layers of decoupage on the toppers because there are so many layers it would make the cards very expensive to post.  It also means that you can create more cards for each set - each set includes an A5 base layer, a matching A4 Deco-Large element sheet and a printed A4 cardstock sheet, if you purchase the complete collection you get two of each design.

This card uses some of the cardstock along with several layers of the decoupage, a sentiment and a butterfly to embellish.

For my final card I have used more of the cardstock and decoupage along with a sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards, I hope you will join me then.

You're a good Egg

I know I'm a bit late but I thought I would share some more Easter cards that I didn't get around to blogging, I used the Violet Studio Hoppy Easter collection.

For this card I used three of the pretty papers, a topper and some fussy cut flowers, a very simple card.

This time I cut a banner from one of the papers and die cut a circle in the centre, I then added a little bunny face to the middle.  I added some fussy cut flowers along with a sentiment from the collection.

For this card I used a Christina Griffiths die to cut the egg shape from one of the papers and added a die cut along with some more fussy cut flowers.

Another simple card this time, a couple of papers, a topper and sentiment from the collection.

Sew Happy

I am sharing some more cards that I have created using the Spellbinders September 2022 Card Kit, I have purchased quite a few of the older kits that were in the recent sale, so you will probably be seeing quite a few of them in the future.

This kit had a sewing theme which I rather liked, there are lots of ephemera pieces, die cuts and stickers along with cardstock, papers, dies and stamps.  I made this card using only the Card Kit.

I used a border die from the Spellbinders Slimline Border die collection along with the Embroidery Hoop dies from the kit to create this card.

For this card I used a Spellbinders Color Block Slice die to create the background.

For this one I used my Hunkydory Moonstone Multi Aperture Frame Die, everything else is from the Card Kit.

So Egg-cited!

I have been making some Easter Cards with the Violet Studios Hoppy Easter collection that I picked up  from Crafter's Companion.  Everything I have used to create these four cards is from the collection apart from some scraps of ribbon and twine from my stash.

I used a  Tim Holtz die to create the label on this card along with a scalloped edge die from Clearly Besotted.  The gems are from Hunkydory and the ribbon and twine are from my stash.

All I have added to this card is a gem from Hunkydory, everything else is from the Hoppy Easter collection.

The stitched square die on this card is from Hunkydory, it is an older die that I was given when I was on their design team back in 2019.

I used the Easter egg die from the Sara Davies Easter Signature Collection from last year along with some older Die-namics oval dies to create the little basket and some more gems from Hunkydory.

I'm sorry if I haven't managed to get around to visit everyone yet, I promise I will shortly.  Thank you for visiting my blog today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

Wildflowers

I thought I would have a play with one of my Hunkydory Collections and decided to use the Forever Florals Wildflowers collection.

I used three of the small images from the Love and Happiness topper sheet along with one of the sheets of printed card stock.  I just added a sentiment, also from the topper sheet and some natural and lemon coloured twine.

Believe in Magic

I have another couple of cards to share that I have created with the Spellbinders July Cardmaking Kit.

I created a swing card using the Hunkdory Moonstone Scalloped Circle Swing Die, I used one of the beautiful toppers along with one of the papers and a couple of sentiments.  I cut the little stars using a Mama Elephant die that I have had in my stash for ages.

The sentiment on the other side of the scalloped circle swing is part of the Moonstone Swing Die set.

My second card uses the same topper, there are two of all the die cuts in the collection, along with three of the pretty papers and a sentiment, I cut the little banners with my Die-namics Fishtail Flag Dies.

Christmas on the Farm

This is another slimline card that I have created with the Hunkydory Winter Wildlife Collection, the printed card stock is perfect for slimline cards.

I've used another of the fabulous images with the tractor and the dog in the snow, this takes me back to my childhood spent of the farm, we actually had snow at Christmas then!  This is another simple card, I just added a sentiment, some foliage cut with a Sue Wilson die and a red bow.

Festive Friends

I have another card created with the Hunkydory Winter Wildlife collection to share today, I just love these adorable donkeys.

This time I have created a slimline card, I used one of the printed card stock sheets and one of the matching papers along with a gorgeous topper and a sentiment from another Hunkydory Christmas collection - you don't really need to do a lot to make a card with this gorgeous collection.

Thankfully Blogger seems to have sorted out the commenting problems a bit, I'm still getting a few ending up in my spam folder but not as many as I was at one point.

Perfect Posies

This is the last card that I have created with my Hunkydory Watercolour Garden collection, I still have lots left so I will probably make some more at a later date.

I have used one of the pretty papers, a topper, a sentiment and some of the card stock, the card stock does have a pattern on it but I just used a plain section.  I used a Crafter's Companion die to create the corner and added gold Mirri between the layers.

I will be back in a couple of days to share the folio that I created in a recent Facebook Live class run by Clare Charvill, I am really rather pleased with it.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, please leave a comment so that I can come and visit you.

Beautiful Birds

I have another card to share today that I have created with the Hunkydory Watercolour Garden that is the free gift that comes with the new Hunkydory Diamond Club subscription.

I have used three of the printed papers that come with the collection along with one of the beautiful toppers and a sentiment - it is really handy to have the additional papers with the collection, they make the printed card stock go much further, I used some gold Mirri for the layers.

Watercolour Blooms

I have created another card with my Hunkydory Watercolour Garden collection, this time I have made a side stepper card, it's a while since I made one of these.

I have used one of the beautiful toppers, one of the printed papers, a sheet of the printed card stock and a sentiment tag - I cut the two border strips from another of the printed card stock sheets.  The floral embellishment is from a die cut sheet that is part of the collection, there are two sheets so I fussy cut some of the flowers from the second sheet so that I could layer them up.  I always find stepper cards difficult to photograph, that is probably why I don't make many!

Thank you for visiting my blog today and thank you for all of the lovely comments that you leave, they are all read and much appreciated.

You're a Classic

I needed a masculine card for my Brother-in-Law so I had a look through my Hunkydory collections and decided to use this image and card stock from the A Good Sport Deluxe Card collection - I'm not sure quite what sport this image is depicting!

He is quite hard to make for as he doesn't really have any hobbies and isn't very interested in sport so I decided to go with the old masculine favourite -  a pint of Beer.   I used one of the toppers, a sentiment and a couple of sheets of the card stock, I used another sheet to decorate the inside of the card.
