A Triple Play

At Color My Heart

This was quite a challenge. First I had to go into my retired stacks

 to find my Carolina CS. My Sangria CS was still handy and

 Flamingo is with my current cardstocks. I used the water brush 

with the ink pads to color the scarf and hat on my polar bear. 

It's always fun to go back with retired colors. 

Carolina is one of my favorites. Thanks Color My Heart.

Tic Tac Toe Time

At Color My Heart

We often get to play Tic Tac Toe at Color My Heart Color Dare. This week I chose the diagonal colors Carolina, Toffee, and Scarlet. The flower from 3-D Flower Thin Cuts is made with Carolina CS, a Scarlet center and some Toffee leaves. Adding a Scarlet heart with a toffee border and a toffee greeting completes the card.

Color My Heart 415

Meets Atlantic Hearts Sketch

The Color Dare at Color My Heart are the colors from the new 

Lovely paper pack that includes the new color of the year Blue Belle.

 The sketch from Atlantic Hearts made this card fun and easy to make. 

I used the Blue Belle CS for card front made from the new

 Stitched Lattice Background. My other colors are 

Ballerina, and Evergreen. I added some BTP paper

 from the Lovely PP and made the flowers 

and sentiment from the Operation Smile Stamp set. 

These two Heart blogs do make my heart happy.

Happy Times

With Three Shades of Blue Greens

Mint, Lagoon, and Peacock make the colors of this Happy Card. The "Happy" is the new thin cut from the Stitched Together card making stamp set. This is a fun set that has layers of "Happy" thin cuts. It also comes with a selection of happy sentiments.

Meets Color My Heart

Using three colors from the challenge dare at 

Color My Heart to celebrate the 10th Anniversary 

of Heart 2 Heart with 10 hearts randomly placed 

on the card. The colors are Glacier, Smoothie, and Peach.

Technique Time

 Water Color

At Heart 2 Heart the new water color challenge gave

me the opportunity to bring out my water brushes.

My favorite way to water color is to use the coordinating

ink pad and the water brush to add the color.

This is a close up of the water colored flowers and leaves.

For this technique cut your desired shapes and lay them on

the Versa Mat or a water proof surface. Spray them with a

light mist of water. Use your water brush to pick up ink color

from the lid of your ink pad. Touch the wet image with the

inked brush and it will spread across the wet image. To get the

two tone color on the leaves I used Emerald with a touch of Lemon.

A Heartfelt Thankyou

With a Sketch From

Atlantic Hearts and two CTMH paper packs.

 One of the fun things about this current Seasonal Expressions is you

 can mix and match the papers from different packs. On this card I

 mixed the No Worries paper pack with the Prickly Pear paper pack

The flowers and leaves were cut with White Daisy and

sponged with Raspberry and Fern ink.

This fun sketch from Atlantic Hearts was used to make my card.

It's Tool Time

At Heart 2 Heart

Close to My Heart has some fun tools to give our card making

and scrapbooking projects a special look. For this challenge 

I used the following tools: scissors, embossing tool, piercing tool,

stitching guide, foam mat, paper trimmer, and EZ Dots Adhesive.

To make these sentiment labels, use the stitching guide and the piercing tool to make the shapes.

Use embossing tool to emboss a border around the hexagon and diamond shapes and cut out with your scissors. Use a scallop punch to punch the circle and hand cut the heart with your scissors.

Fundamentals paper pack. Use Make It From Your Heart pattern book Vol. II to make your cards.
