Pastel Noel - Stampin' Up! Welcome Noel

   The Neutral Noel suite continues to offer a lot of fun possibilities for Christmas cards and I love the different looks you can get just by changing the color palette.  My card today shows off some pastel colors and some mixing and matching of the stamp sets and dies.

  The card base is Barely Blush, then another layer of the same embossed with The Swirls of Magic embossing folder.  Before adding the next layer I used the Barely Blush Shimmer pen to color some of the embossed pattern making them stand out a bit more.  The shimmer Brush makes them slightly darker and sparkly.

  Next is a Basic White Scalloped Christmas Cheer die cut which is the perfect size for creating these little building scenes.  I embossed a separate piece of Basic White with the Softly Woven embossing folder and cut it down to fit on the inside of the stitched detail of the scalloped rectangle.

The house has a Hydrangea Hue backing and a Barely Blush star on the peak.  The trees are Old Olive and are tucked just under the edge of the house. The first part of the sentiment from the Noel Tidings stamp set is stamped in Versmark, embossed in white and fussy cut as well and the second part is stamped in Hydrangea Hue and trimmed down to fit the space.

 I couldn't place any ribbon or embellishments to my liking so I left the only bit of sparkle on the star which is colored with Barely Blush Shimmer Brush.

Scrapped Noel - Stampin' Up!® Welcome Noel Dies

   When a challenge says to use up scraps for a card you don't need to tell me twice!  The current Inspire. Create. challenge does just that and I'm all in!  I'm always looking for fun, creative ways to use up my cardstock scraps.  A simple background is always a good way to go!

I love all the catalog samples of the Stampin' Up!® Neutral Noel Suite but I also like to dabble in non-traditional or bright Christmas color combinations.  I thought a bright striped background for a little snowy scene using the Welcome Noel dies would fit not only the "scrap" element but would also give me a chance for a bold color palette.

  I started with a Coastal Cabana card base, then another slightly smaller layer of Coastal Cabana that I added differing widths of scraps in Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Azure Afternoon.  I randomly spaced them out on the panel and then trimmed any edges that were overhanging.

  Next I cut 3 Basic White panels using the Welcome Noel dies, 2 with the trees and one with the houses.  I trimmed them down so they were spaced just so and then adhered them to the card front and each other with dimensionals.

  Then using more scraps I cut a few of the houses again in the different colors then trimmed them apart and adhered them to the Basic White house panel for a colorful wintery scene.

  I meant to stamp the sentiment before adhering everything and I knew if I tried to stamp it over the dimensionals it would have been a disaster so I stamped it instead on another scrap and added it to the bottom of the lower tree panel.

  A few retired Iridescent Adhesive-backed Discs are added to the sides of the sentiment for a bit of shine.

Peaceful Noel - Stampin' Up!® Welcome Noel

   The Neutral Noel suite in the upcoming Stampin' Up!® Sept.-Dec. 2026 catalog is a beautiful set of products that have so much potential for holiday cards and I am excited to start exploring all the fun ways to use the two bundles in this suite.  My card today focuses on the Welcome Noel bundle with it's sweet scene building elements.

  My layout today comes straight from the Paper Players Challenge.  They are celebrating their 800th challenge this week and Ann has chosen this throwback sketch from their very first challenge!  Congrats to them!!  I was lucky enough to be a guest designer with them back in 2021 and they are the nicest and most welcoming bunch of paper crafters and it is absolutely no surprise to me that they've reached this huge milestone, quality sticks around.  I hope you'll play along with them and make the 800th gallery huge!

  I started with a Mossy Meadow card base and used my Perennial Postage dies to cut a background panel from the Neutral Noel Specialty paper.  This paper is one sided and it's thicker than regular DSP. It has lovely gold accents and a beautiful neutral color palette.  I used a second piece in an all gold pattern for the band across the middle.  I added a Basic Beige ribbon knot around that layer before adhering.

 Next I stamped the building in Basic Beige, the tree in Mossy Meadow and the deer in Pecan Pie.  After they were die cut I clustered them to the side to follow the sketch.  The deer is popped on a dimensional.  I added a little die cut wreath decorated with a tiny red rhinestone and dabbed a tiny bit of Golden Glow Shimmer Brush on the tree.  

  After that I did what I should have done before I adhered all the other elements; stamped the greeting at the bottom.  I was nervous I was going to muck it up and have to start fresh lol!  So it's a do as I say, not as I do moment!! Stamp that sentiment first just in case!

Homey Christmas - Stampin' Up!® Home for Christmas

     When new Christmas products are released I always like to get one of the bundles or suites that has classic Christmas images and or red/green color combo.  I find that you can go wrong with the basics and the new Home for Christmas bundle and Timeless Christmas DSP are a wonderful pairing!

  A gingerbread man, a tree and peppermint candies!  Throw in red plaid and some scallops and it's even better!  I used the Sunday Stamps challenge for this great layout.  The center panel is perfect for showing off the images.

  I started this one with a Peaceful Pine card base, then used a panel of the Timeless Christmas DSP in this big red plaid pattern.  Next comes a band of Peaceful Pine embossed with the new Softly Woven embossing folder.  I wrapped the band with some Peaceful Pine bordered ribbon and a fork bow.

  Next is a a Scalloped Christmas Cheer die cut.  I used a piece of Basic White that I had in my stash that was already embossed with the retired Beautiful Pattern embossing folder.  The largest scalloped rectangle in this die set is the perfect size for an A2 card front.  I used the second largest on this card.

  The cute little images come next!  I popped them on dimensionals.  And the candies have a fun little detail that's hard to see in the photos but after the candy portion is stamped and die cut I added a clear layer on top for the cellophane wrapper using some thin sheets of acetate.  The regular window sheets are too thick for the die to cut (I tried) so I used the extra acetate that used to come with the photopolymer stamp sets in the old packaging.  To adhere them without the glue or tape runner showing I just pressed the acetate onto the adhesive sheets to basically create a sticker.  Looks just like the candies your grandma had in the bottom of her purse!  Though maybe a little less dusty lol!

  Finally the sentiment from the new Soiree Salutations is stamped in black and trimmed down to fit on the candy.  A few retired Dear Dots in Poppy Parade in the corner are finishing touch.

Christmas Greenery - Stampin' Up!® Noel Tidings

 The first thing that drew my attention to the Neutral Noel Suite Collection in the upcoming Stampin'    Up!® Sept.-Dec. 2026 catalog were the beautiful samples using a muted color palette and gold accents.  I loved the warm feel of the little buildings and the super versatile branches and berries in the stamp sets.  Did I use all those neutrals and golds the first time I used products from this suite? Nope!  All in due time!  My card today uses colors but does have a neutral background so there is that!

  I've used the Paper Players challenge with this fun color combo for the card; Teal, Aqua, Tan and Red which I translated into Stampin' Up!® colors Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Real Red.

  I used the Textured Tree Ring embossing folder on the Crumb Cake for the card front.  What a lovely look for nature inspired cards!  Next I cut 2 of the greenery rings, one in Pool Party and the second in Pretty Peacock.  I ended up using glue dots to adhere the 2 together as that seemed to be the easiest way not to get adhesive all over or risk tearing them with a tape runner.  I popped the wreath up on dimensionals/mini dimensionals put in just the right places.

  Next I decorated the wreath with stamped and die cut pinecones and Glimmer paper berries.  The small sentiments in the new Soiree Salutations fit perfectly in this angled die cut that is included in the bundle. The finishing touch is a Real Red Stitched fork bow.

  I can't wait to explore all the ways to use this suite collection and especially the bundles!

Woodland Trio Christmas - Stampin' Up!® Woodland Wishes

   I've got a sweet little Christmas card to share today!  I'm mixing some current products with a few things that will available soon in the Stampin' Up!® Sept.-Dec. 2026 catalog.  The sweet little animals in the Woodland Wishes stamp set are so cute and just look how nice they are with red and green Christmas colors!

  The layout is from Freshly Made Sketches and is a nice sketch for grouping some smaller images/die cuts together.  The colors (red, green, brown) are from the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown which I don't tend to play along with until I get new Christmas supplies each year but they always have cool challenges!

 I started with a Cherry Cobbler base (which you can't see), then added a piece of the upcoming Timeless Christmas DSP to cover the card front.  I love this tone on tone polka dot pattern, useful for not just Christmas cards!  Next I die cut the Cherry Cobbler scalloped strip with the upcoming Home for Christmas dies.  The sentiment is stamped in Peaceful Pine on the light side of a strip of Peaceful Pine two-toned cardstock.  Look at how well it matches the polka dots!  I love having a light and regular shade of all my cardstock colors; it doubles the amount of shades to work with which is always a good thing in my book!

  Next I stamped, colored and fussy cut the animals with Blends and then added them to the card front.  The fox is popped on dimensionals.  The card needed a bit of sparkle so I die cut a few little stars out of gold glimmer paper with the Home for Christmas dies.

Quilt Block Thank You - Stampin' Up!® Stitched Stocking

 I was playing around with the Stampin' Up!® Stitched Stocking bundle the other day trying out different ideas for a class and I wasn't really feeling 'Christmas' at that moment so I made just a regular quilt block just to see.  I poked around quilting Pinterest (they are as crazy for their hobby as we paper crafters are lol!) to find a block that I could build out with the dies in the bundle.  It's amazing what triangles and geometry can do!  Once I found a pattern I just played with different colors and DSPs and ended up with this pinwheel-esque square.

 

  I pulled my colors from the Stitched Season DSP and used the Peaceful Pine plaid design as well as the floral pattern.  I used a Peaceful Pine card base and a panel of Secret Sea for the quilt block to be adhered to.  The sentiment panel is the cuff die cut from the stocking and it just the right size for the Banner Sayings stamp set.  To continue the quilting theme I used the stitching stamp to add "stitching" around the sentiment.  If you take your time it's pretty easy to line up.

Woodland Christmas - Stampin' Up!® Woodland Wishes

   If you like adorable woodland animals and coloring have I got the stamp set for you to get started on your Christmas cards!  The Woodland Wishes stamp set is just adorable with all of your favorites; bears, foxes, squirrels, deer, birds and more!  You can make the full tree or use the single animal stamps to make you own groupings.

  So adorable right??  I had a crafting day with some some friends last week and I decided to make a stack of this design to add to my Christmas card stash.  I don't watercolor very often as I feel that I don't do the images justice most of the time and I'm also a bit impatient to get cards finished and the drying time for watercoloring doesn't fit with my self-imposed schedules lol! But I think the time was worth it here!

  I started with a Crumb Cake card base then topped it with another piece of Crumb Cake embossed with the new Textured Tree Ring embossing folder.  I know this folder will come in handy heading into fall and of course for all of my rustic vibe Christmas cards.

  All of these animals put my neutrals to the test and I watercolored using drops of reinker and water painters.  Some of the small areas were challenging to get the color just where I wanted it but I'm happy with the final look.    

  After it was colored I fussy cut the tree shape and popped it with dimensionals over a piece of Peaceful Pine bordered ribbon and the stamped sentiment also in Peaceful Pine.  I had a bunch of retired Traditional Sparkling Sequins left so I added a few of the red ones for a tiny bit of sparkle.

Stitched Christmas - Stampin' Up!® Stitched Stocking Dies

 Now that I've got my hands on some new Stampin' Up!® Christmas products I've been thinking a bit more about my seasonal cards.  I haven't done much with the Stitched Stocking bundle....yet.  I see a lot of possibilities with this fun bundle and the I think it will be a big hit with some quilters I know.  For my card today I used some of the dies to create a stack of 3 Christmas images.

  It was a tight squeeze but I fit them all!  I started with a Peaceful Pine card base.  I think this green is a great one for Christmas and I definitely plan to pair it more with Cherry Cobbler.  I embossed a piece of Basic White with the retired Beautiful Pattern embossing folder for a great quilt-like texture. 

  Next I die cut the tree, star and gift and then cut the accent pieces mixing the colors so that each finished square had 2 different colors. The "ornaments" on the tree are the little holly berries and the ribbon on the package is just trimmed from a second die cut in Golden Glow and adhered on.

  The berries/ornaments are colored in clear Wink of Stella, I added a Peaceful Pine In Color dot to the star and the ribbon on the gift is covered with Golden Glow shimmer brush.

  I partially inked up the sentiment leaving off the smaller writing on the Merry Christmas greeting and stamped it on the rounded rectangle that is the cuff of the stocking.  It's popped up on dimensionals over a piece of Peaceful Pine Bordered Ribbon.  The new mini Christmas buttons are super cute and I used one of the white ones here then topped it with a Cherry Cobbler bakers twine bow.

Stitched Christmas - Stampin' Up!® Stitched Stocking

 Christmas in June??? Why not?  Planning ahead for handmade Christmas cards is the only way I can get enough made without driving myself crazy come December.  I won't be making a big Christmas card push just yet so don't unfollow me for being out of season. Getting a few cards in the storage box gives me a little peace of mind! I'm using the Stitched Stocking bundle which will be available in the July 2026 Online Exclusive release.

  I needed to make a card using the sketch challenge that I gave my to customers this morning and I thought this Christmas stocking kind of fit the larger element of the layout.  What do you think?

  Maybe a little big lol!  But it was fun to put this card together using the quilt inspired Stitched Stockings bundle.

  I started with a Peaceful Pine card base, such a wonderful Christmas green!  Then a panel of Basic White cut with the retired Stitched Rectangle dies and embossed with the retired Beautiful Pattern embossing folder.

  The stocking is die cut in several layers with the bottom being just the stocking shape. The top layer of the stocking is the part that has all the wonderful patchwork and stitched details.  Both layers are in Cherry Cobbler.  The cuff is also separate and is in Basic White. Before adhering the cuff I added a loop of Peaceful Pine Bordered ribbon.

 This bundle is part of a suite which includes A Stitched Season DSP.  I used a plaid pattern to cut the star detail and added it to the stocking.

 A little Christmas tree and some holly leaves and berries colored with Wink of Stella are fun accents and a little tiny sentiment from the long retired Itty Bitty Christmas is the final piece.

Joy to the World - Stampin' Up!® Hope Love & Joy

   Way back in December I broke out some of my January-April mini catalog preorder items to make Christmas cards for my team.  The Hope Love & Joy bundle works well for many different kinds of cards and I know I'll be using this one all year round.  I love how the 'O' in each word can be replaced with the different images so it's really easy to change up the look depending on the kind of card you're making.

  I started with a Secret Sea card base and then embossed a piece of Two Toned Olive Olive with the Beautiful Pattern embossing folder and tore of the edges.

  On a piece of Basic White the 'joy' is stamped in Secret Sea and then the smaller sentiment is stamped above it.  The world is stamped on a piece of scrap and then I used Stampin' Blends to color it in.  After it was die cut it's added with a dimensional.  Before adhering the whole panel to the card front I added a gold twine bow.

  Finally I sprinkled a few Traditional Sparkling Sequins around the images for the final touch.

Christmas 4 Square - Stampin' Up!® A Little Cheer

   The CAS Colours & Sketches challenge team is back today with a brand new challenge to wrap up this stamping year!  It's a fun one with a lot of room for you to create!  Choose one of the past years challenges but make it seasonal! Lots of great color combos and layouts to choose from!

I didn't join the Design Team until October so I had fun looking back over the challenges from earlier in the year to see what jumped out at me and there was a clear favorite!  I'm using the May 13 sketch for my card today.

  I knew that 4 square center element would be perfect to show off the tiny images in the A Little Cheer stamp set which is a sweet little Christmas set.

  I used a rectangle card base instead of a square but you can definitely see the sketch here.  I stamped the images then cut them out and popped them on dimensionals on small Stylish Shapes square die cuts.  I backed those with 2 more square layers.

  The sentiment is a simple and small font from the Wishing You Joy stamp set.  No other embellishments to keep it really clean and simple (CAS) but it was hard not to add some sparkle!

Pink Poinsettia Noel - Stampin' Up!® 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar

   My house is slowly but surely getting decorated for Christmas and we even have snow falling right now to make it feel even more seasonal.  I've already mailed out the bulk of my Christmas cards (yay!) but I'm still finding myself making a few more here and there especially when there is a good challenge!  The Color Hues challenge has a really fun one that can be seasonal or not and I couldn't resist it!  They want us to use shades of Pink and Green this time!  So fun!

  I pulled out the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar stamp set and decided to turn the floral stamp into a poinsettia.  I don't think it's meant to be a poinsettia but I think it works nicely as one!  

  I started with a Strawberry Slush card base that you can't see and added 2 pieces of DSP to the card front.  The Old Olive strip is in the Gathering Together Specialty DSP and then Strawberry Slush piece can be found in the Florals in Bloom DSP.

  The flower is stamped in Pretty in Pink and is then topped with a Strawberry Slush die cut (die is one of the Advent Calendar items).  I stamped and fussy cut a few Old Olive leaves to tuck underneath before adding the flower to a Stylish Shape square.

  The 'Noel' is from the Wishing You Joy stamp set and is stamped in Old Olive.  The finishing touch is a cluster of gold sequins in the center of the flower.

  I really like how this one turned out and the I think the color combo is a fun one to use to get a little non-traditional for this time of year.

Simple Christmas - Stampin' Up!® Ornamental Christmas

   Since I had my Christmas Tags & More DSP out from my card yesterday I wanted to use up a few more scraps and play along with the Paper Players tic tac toe challenge and I'm getting it in just under wire. I decided to use the right hand down column which is "white, Christmas, die cuts".

So for the white element I used a Basic White card base along with the white in the DSP pattern and the white embossing on the tree.  And since this is clean and simple card I could say I have lots of "white space" as well.

 The Christmas part is self explanatory here but I used the Wishing You Joy stamp set for the sentiment and the Ornamental Christmas stamp set for the tree.  

  After die cutting the tree I popped it up on dimensionals and then loaded it up with ornaments which are the Traditional Sparkling Sequins embellishments.  A glimmer paper star tops the tree for the final touch.

  I liked how the first one turned out so much that I made a second and switched the colors of the ornaments and star for a bit of variety.

Easy Layered Christmas - Stampin' Up!® Christmas Tags & More DSP

  As I'm getting to the end of my Christmas card making season I'm trying to use up some bits and pieces of DSP and the As You See It Challenge has a perfect layout (and challenge title!) for it!  The layout is great for adding some layers and different patterns and I made it even easier by using the Christmas Tags & More DSP.

  I challenged myself a bit to use pieces of DSP and cardstock that were already about the size the sketch called for so I didn't have to cut anything new.

  I started with a Garden Green card base, then a layer of the Christmas Tags & More DSP in a mistletoe leaf pattern.  Next I added a piece of Soft Sea Foam that I embossed with the Beautiful Pattern embossing folder and a happy accident that the embossing pattern matches the pattern on the ornament.  Totally not planned but sometimes things come together just right!

  For the next layer of the sketch I cut a Stylish Shape square from Basic White scrap as a place to frame out the ornament which I fussy cut from the DSP.  I popped the ornament on dimensionals and then added a bakers twine Crumb Cake bow and hanging string.  Four Garden Green Dear Dots are added to the corners of the square for a simple detail.

  Finally the sentiment from Wishing You Joy stamp set is stamped in Versamark on Basic Black and embossed in white.  It's popped to the side of ornament on dimensionals.

Snowflake Joy - Stampin' Up!® Snowy Delights Dies

 I'm waiting on the photos that I'm putting in my Christmas cards this year so I've got a bit more time to make a few more.  The CAS on Sunday challenge has an easy one this week; Christmas!  This one was so easy that I made 2 while I had the supplies out.  A sparkly snowflake is always a good choice for this time of year!

  I started with a Basic White thick card base, then a layer of Basic White that is slightly smaller than the card front.  I lightly blended a bit of Secret Sea ink onto the card front for just a hint of color.

  The snowflake is cut out of Peaceful Garden Glimmer paper with the Snowy Delights dies and is popped on the card with dimensionals.  I put the dimensionals in a line in the middle of the snowflake so they couldn't be seen once I put the sentiment on.

 The sentiment is from Wishing You Joy stamp set and I used Secret Sea ink and added a bit of silver ribbon behind it for even more sparkle.

  I love this design so much I might have to go back and make a few more with the other 2 colors of Peaceful Garden Glimmer paper!

Christmas Tree Trio - Stampin' Up!® Ornamental Christmas

   I'm using the Inspired By challenge today for this Christmas card.  This one caught my eye for two reasons, the colors and the shape of the tree.  The colors are nice and bold and the shape of the tree in the inspiration photo looked like one of the trees in the Ornamental Christmas stamp set.  

  I started with a textured background with a piece of Basic White embossed with the Soft Waves embossing folder.  

  The trees were die cut in Poppy Parade, Secret Sea, and Shaded Spruce.  I wanted each one to look different so I used the snowflake and leaf stamp from the A Little Cheer stamp set for the Poppy Parade and Shaded Spruce trees.

  For the Secret Sea tree I embossed lines in gold using the stamp from Ornamental Christmas.  I added a punch gold Glimmer Paper star on the top and popped the whole tree up on dimensionals.

  The sentiment is stamped in Versamark and embossed in gold. I flagged the ends then popped it on dimensionals.

Patterned Christmas Trees - Stampin' Up!® Ornamental Christmas Dies

   A few weeks back I made a stack of this Christmas card design and then never got around to posting it as seems more and more the case with  me lately!  I think the time change earlier in the month has thrown off my timing for taking photos and that has just kind of backed up everything else.  And then with a few days out of town, prepping for a class and the Thanksgiving holiday I've just been off schedule all month! Hoping to get back to more regular posting starting today!

  I was inspired by the closed challenge at SUO Challenges from a few weeks ago.  I loved the colors and pulled the idea of the trees from their inspiration photo.  

  I started with a Basic White thick card base then a Mossy Meadow Textured Notes die cut.  That is topped with a Basic White panel embossed with the Beautiful Pattern embossing folder.

  The trees are simply cut using the 2 tree shapes in the Ornamental Christmas dies.  I went through all of my Designer Series Papers and pulled out patterns in the 3 colors and just layered them on the card front with the Mossy Meadow tree popped on dimensionals.  

  A Gold Glimmer paper star tops the center tree and the sentiment from Wishing You Joy is stamped on a narrow strip and is popped on dimensionals.

  The final embellishments are the Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo dots on the sides of the sentiment.

Modern Christmas - Stampin' Up!® Ornamental Christmas

   The Modern Christmas Specialty DSP is the star of the show on today's card!  I know I've said it before but I love the bold black and gold designs and I wanted to design a class card that used as many patterns as I could.  If you still need to make a number of cards to mail out this is a great one that isn't too fussy!

 It starts with a Basic White thick card base and then a piece of the Modern Christmas DSP in a gold foil star pattern goes across the bottom of the card front.

  Next, using several sizes of circle punches (circle dies can be used as well) a variety of patterns and sizes are punched out and layered across the top edge of the star DSP.

  

  The ornament on the front is die cut so it's 2 layers and opens like a tag.  It's embellished with gold foil accents and the sentiment.

  The tag element is easy to make.  Just fold a piece of Basic White in half so that it is big enough for the die and line up the die just off the folded edge of cardstock so that instead of cutting 2 shapes you get one with a connected edge. Cut with your die cutter as usual.  I would suggest using a sticky note or painters tape to hold it so it doesn't move.

  You can use this same technique to create gift tags as well.
