No question about it: there has been a huge underground resurgence in heavy music in Brazil, whether we’re talking Saturndust or Space Guerrilla, these are top-notch bands that are putting their own unique mark on the world of doom-sludge metal and stoner-psychedelic rock.
Last year, we introduced you to RED MESS from Londrina, Brazil and reviewed their debut EP. Turns out that big media conglomerate Noisey has discovered them, as well, and today have premiered the digital release of two tracks (“Daybreak Dope” and “Ready to Go”) from the band’s newest EP, ‘Drowning in Red’ (2015).
Having championed the group from the beginning, we couldn’t be happier to see them achieve a greater level of recognition and success! Red Mess has definitely stepped up their game for this one, too. Here are all three tracks, streaming for your enjoyment.
Dazzling solos, grungy hooks, and low-tuned, fuzzy riffage abound. Enjoy the ride!

Noisey Premieres New ELECTRIC WIZARD Track!!!
Via Noisey comes our first listen to material by influential metal legends Electric Wizard, from the forthcoming Time To Die (2014 - Spinefarm Records). “I Am Nothing” is dark, dank, and damned doomy! Can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to this record!
Stillborn children. Saturn’s children the living dead
We have created this abyss, darkness, surrounding us
Raise the flag of hate against this human race
Rise and kill & wipe them all away….
I Am Nothing
I Mean Nothing
I See Nothing
I Feel Nothing…as I kill you
We the Old Ones did not forget
We are the Supercoven, we wait with bated breath
They think themselves as Gods ..now are they free?
Mindless slaves to their lusts and technology
I Am Nothing
I Mean Nothing
I See Nothing
I Feel Nothing….as I kill you
I Am Nothing
I Feel Nothing
I Am Nothing
You Are Nothing….
To Me…
Nothing…
Nothing…
I Feel Nothing as I kill you…..
A little treasure dug up by Noisey: an epic jam from Roadburn 2012 featuring members of Earthless and Heavy Blanket!!!
New BONGRIPPER tune!
If you missed the Acid Witch tracks I posted on Doomed & Stoned’s Facebook page a few week’s back, here they are along with the other side of that 7” split with Nunslaughter! Just good old fashioned occult horror metal!
Retro doom rock has never sounded this good. It’s SATAN’S SATYRS’ new full-length, Die Screaming.
