Khorne Rhino

The advent of 8th edition made it clear that foot troops without a ride is not a great idea. So, what better than to equip a pack of loony-bin murderers with an APC!

So hefty conversion work went into this, with the front plate from a Hellcannon being grafted into the front of the rhino.

The giant Khorne icon on the front is from the Bloodletter standard, which also gave up its skulls for the back. Berzerker icons grace the side doors.

Rogue Trader Predator

I've had this thing half completed for the past few years, so on to the painting table and into the display cabinet... Now my RT marines have some backup.

Store opening Imperial Fist Captain

I was lucky and snagged 2 of these chaps thanks to some friends who aren't in the hobby and speed painted one of them to match my Imperial Fists. It's a little rough, but he'll blend in and the little freehand brightens him up.

Hello 2012 / Rogue Trader Chaplain

Time to start 2012 off with a model-y bang.

On the painting bench today, a Rogue Trader-era Chaplain.

RT Terminator Librarian

Had this guy on the painting bench for the past month or so and finally finished him up. I'm happy with how he came out and my feeble attempt at some freehand.

A full Tactical Squad

Back, with new stuff, of all kinds

Hey guys, been a long time, but I have been busy.

Finished my friends demon army, which will be showing up here soon.

But for now, here is a mixed bag of projects that have shown up recently.

First, Rogue Trader Marines, these are the 1st 4 I have finished, with a ton more to come.


Next up, a dreadnought I started a few years ago as a command dread for a dread mob. He has a KFF built into his body, but I will be using in the FW Dread mob list.





And to go along with him, 3 killa kans, built with grotzookas from Irondog. Sweet little weapons and they fit very nicely with the old style kans.


And to lead the 2 mobs of spanna boys, 2 new meks, one with a KMB and the other with a burna. Both have heads pulled from the stompa sprues.

The mek with the KMB has a big shoota boy backpack, with a custom banner pole with the old gorkamorka buggy banner top.



And the Mek with Burna.


I also picked a Kill Blasta, and while I wait for a few parts to show up and worked on the kommanda and gave him feet, so I can use him in the tank, or out. Feet are from an AoBR nob and one the the regular plastic nobs.


And to top it all off, a Meka Dread. I built and painted a Mega Dread a while back, so when FW released this guy, I knew I needed to get one. Its an awesome kit, so much detail all over, and it goes together quite nicely.





And to end this with a very random thing, an Eldar Scout Walker. I saw one of these pop up on dakka, and new I needed to find out how to make one. I found out that Citadel Journal #8 contained the instructions and rules (for 2nd edition) for them. So after a few days of searching the internet I found a copy of it and when it arrived I set about making it. And it's pretty awesome.

Back again, sorry it's been so long, but life has been busy.

More Rogue Trader marines for now, RT and 2nd edition Orks to come very soon as I've made some good progress (for me).

First up is a Dreadnought, which I'll run as equipped with a twin-linked heavy bolter and CCW with stormbolter.


Next we have 4 assault marines.



And a bunch of other troopers.




And one more terminator, this time with a cyclone missile launcher.

So. White marines. Yep, Kind of like stormtroopers. Eventually each squad will receive distinguishing markings, probably in red. These guys will paint up faster than the orks, I'm guessing about a third of the time per model when compared. I think they'll look pretty good on the table too.
