Teamsters, one of the most important and influential labor union throughout the US, has said that they are not going to publicly show their support or endorse any of the candidates or parties competing in the US Presidential Elections whatsoever. The Daily Beast reported that this certain news will be a shock for the Democratic Party and might prove as a huge disadvantage to now Vice President Kamala Harris.
According to Daily Beast, Teamsters consists of 1.3 million people and most part of the union are in support of Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump and very few people are actually endorsing Kamala Harris. US Presidential Election 2024 will be the very first election where Teamsters will not be endorsing any of the candidates of the Democratic Party whereas it was a different case altogether in the previous US Presidential Elections.

Teamster President Sean O’Brien said in a public statement that apart from the different preference of Presidential candidates among the union members, other significant reason of not endorsing any of the Presidential Candidate in the elections is that neither Donald Trump nor Kamala Harris are focusing on the needs and requirements of the working class and are interfering in the company’s key aspects prioritizing their Business above everything.
Donald Trump absolutely welcomed the decision while his team released a public statement that most of the Teamster union wants him to see as the President of US again. On the other hand, the Daily Beast noted that just following the announcement, regional council members of Teamsters who are representing significant states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, California, Guam and Hawaii asserted that they will extend their support to the Democratic Party while endorsing Kamala Harris.
