Dari is one of the two official languages of Afghanistan. Dari is a dialect of Farsi also known as Persian. Dari is spoken in the northern and western parts of Afghanistan including the capital Kabul in the east. Roughly 50% of Afghans speak Dari natively and roughly 80 of all Afghans understand and can communicate in Dari. With the advent of radio and TV, this ratio may be even higher.
