Bumpy, textured skin is really common and can be due to a combination of clogged pores, comedonal acne, flaky skin and acne scars. If you are bothered by these changes, here’s what I recommend to smooth out your skin:

1. Use PanOxyl 4% cleanser in the AM. PanOxyl (benzoyl peroxide) is anti-inflammatory and comedolytic and is a great, affordable product to help get rid of tiny skin bumps due to acne that contribute to texture. To use, lather on face, leave on for 1-2 minutes, then rinse off and follow with sunscreen. 

2. Use a gentle exfoliating peel weekly. My favorite drugstore peel that is gentle enough for at home use if the L’Oreal Paris Bright Revea
