Thankful Fall

Fall is so much fun to craft. I love using fall colors and textures and today's card was super fun to put together. This is a simple fancy fold which results in a pop-up middle portion. It folds flat for mailing and a panel can be added to the back for a sentiment and note.

I decorated this fall card with several EO brads and bling. I placed three Butterfly Brads, one on each panel. Two Pumpkin Brads and a Sunflower rest under the mushroom die cut. I added a lovely Acorn from the Acorn and Squirrel Brad set. Last I added Orange Cut Jewel Bling and yellow Glitter Enamels on the panels and as spots on the mushroom.

You can create a similar look with these EO products:

He Lives!

Hello EO fans! Today the sun is shining and it's starting to turn wondrously green after a week of rain and cooler weather. We may have turned the corner on winter. I can hope anyway! It's gotten me dreaming of my favorite time of year, Lent and Easter.

I started this card by cutting two rectangles and a square out of a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of patterned cardstock. Behind the largest center window, I applied Strips of Glitter Washi Tape - Purple Pattern. Purple always makes me think of Easter and the washi tape is very pretty and a deep shade of purple. It's the perfect background to add three cross stickers I found in my stash. Behind the lower window, I applied Grass Washi Tape. It's the perfect and quick scene I needed to stage Chick Brads and Rabbit Brads. To the left of that window, I inserted Rabbit Brads. In the upper window, I stamped and cut out a sentiment that I put on foam pads. To the left and just below, I inserted Butterfly Brads.

This card celebrates the risen Lord while still getting in plenty of cuteness for the Easter season. This one just might go to my Pastor since she would appreciate the mix of religious and secular in a way that supports and compliments each other. This card successfully does just that.

Thanks for stopping by today. I'll see you next week but until then please visit the EO store for all your brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!

Hooray Floral Card

Hello everyone! Janet here with a fresh flower card that would be fitting for a birthday, a celebration, congratulations, or a note of thanks. The center mat was created with glitter paste and a stencil. Once dry, I cut it and a matching frame with a nested set of decorative frame dies. I added EO brads including Stitched Flowers, Butterflies, Sun and Cloud, and Ladybug. To ground it a little and add more bling, I added large Pearl Brads. The mix of printed flowers, clouds, and bees with the dimensional EO brads really makes this a pretty scene.

Peaceful Butterfly

Hello EO fans! I hope you've had a great weekend so far! Recently, I saw a die that cut a butterfly into card front. While I don't have that die, I do have a Cricut machine and I found a butterfly pattern which I used to create a card pattern that very much mimicked the die I was admiring.

The front of this card is a big window with the butterfly wings connected to the edges of the window only. On top of it, I attached another butterfly connected to the butterfly cut in the card base only on the body. This makes the attached butterfly wings open almost as if it's flying. It's quite a nice effect! Behind the window, I applied a background made of Wide Sky Washi Tape. I used purple Jewel Strip Bling to border the window on the front. I used orange Jewel Strip Bling on the butterfly body and added an orange Pearl Bling to its head. I also added Butterfly Brads to the front around the sentiment which I also cut in Cricut Design Space.

A Rose for You

This card features a pop-up feature of a rose inside. I paired
the rose designer paper that I had with some gorgeous
butterfly washi tape from Eyelet Outlet.

Then I used the  butterfly washi tape on both the inside and
outside of the card. I also added bumpy clear gems on both
the inside and outside for some additional sparkle.

To add to the butterfly theme I included Eyelet Outlet
butterfly brads.

Short on time and need a quick card?

Have you ever needed a greeting card quick and didn't have one on hand? Well, by using nothing more than some scrap pieces of cardstock, an embossing folder, a die and a few embellishments from Eyelet Outlet, you can create this beautiful, simple, store-bought looking card in a matter of minutes.

I started off by cutting a 5x7 white cardstock base, a 4 ¾ x 6 ¾ piece of blue cardstock and a 4 ½ x 6 ½ white cardstock and layered those on top of the card base.

The magic in this card is the beautiful gift box in the center. The gift box was made from a piece of scrap cardstock that I embossed and cut to look as if it was a box with a lid. I found a butterfly shaped dye and, using an orange ombre shaded piece of scrap cardstock, I cut out multiple butterflies and glued them on as if they were bursting out of the box.

You will notice that two of the butterflies have sparkle to them. I made those by layering some Glitter Washi Tape onto my cardstock and then ran it through my die cutting machine with my butterfly die.

There are two beautiful monarch butterflies from the Butterfly Brads which add depth and movement to the front of the card. The sentiment is a simple thank you in which I cut it out twice and glued both pieces together, offsetting each other to form a shadow type look.

In the corners and in the center of each flower are shiny Orange Jewel Bling for sparkle.

This card took me approximately 20 minutes to make using nothing more than scrap pieces of cardstock I had laying around and adding some embellishments from Eyelet Outlet. This is a very simple card to make and when you are short on time and you need a thank you card, or a birthday card, or a get-well card, just change the sentiment. This is a fun, beautiful and easy card to make.

April Calendar Planning!

"If April showers should come your way, they bring the flowers that bloom in May." - Buddy De Sylva

I am sharing my April 2024 Calendar layout today in hopes of inspiring you to stay more organized throughout the year! I wanted to keep with the theme of "April showers bring May flowers", so I added stamps that go along with that theme! A little gal with an umbrella, some raindrops, an adorable duck and rain boots were just the perfect match!

Next, I gathered my Eyelet Outlet supplies and embellished my heart away! I added the green grass washi to anchor the bottom of my pages. I added paper flowers in yellow and white with a purple brad to my top left of my page. Brads of rainboots, daisies, roses, dragonflies, butterflies seemed like just the perfect finish! The beauty of spring is magical and I loved adding these touches to my layout!

I hope this inspires you to stay on track in organization and paper planning in 2024! Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't forget to shop at Eyelet Outlet for all your crafting needs!

Hello Friend

Spring is coming and my card today looks forward to green grass and warmer days. For this card, I designed a scene with Cricut Design Space to include a bare tree, clouds, the Hello sentiment and the friend banner. Before adding these items, I prepared the background with a stencil and blue inks. I added clouds, a heat embossed banner, and Grass Washi Tape. Then I placed all the other items and added a Colored Daisy Brad, Butterfly Brads, a Bluebird Brad, and Rabbit Brads. Once done, I added faux white stitches on the sentiment and blue dots to highlight the clouds behind the tree. I like the pops of bright colors here and there in the card.

The New Eyelet Outlet Spring Jewelry Collection!

We all know that Eyelet Outlet has tons of brads, bling and embellishments that help us jazz up our cards and paper crafts, but did you know that you could also use their pretties to make unique one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry to go with literally any occasion or theme? When it comes to creating something, I seem to think outside the box quite a bit and this is a perfect example.

I decided to try and make some jewelry pieces that I can wear throughout the year using Eyelet Outlet washi tapes, bling, as well as brads.

Introducing Eyelet Outlets Jewelry Collection (not really – but fun to say 😊).

 ❅❅❅ The Snowflake Set ❅❅❅
The first set I made is a winter inspired pendant with matching wintery earrings.

The pendant is made from three Snowflake Brads, and two clear Jewel Bling. I put them all in a pendant tray and layered some jewelry glaze/glue on top and then sprinkled glitter to give extra sparkle and shine.

The matching earrings are also made with Snowflake Brads which are also covered with the jewelry glaze. I will be able to wear these throughout the winter season and I the best part is I know that no one else will have these because they are one-of-a-kind.

🥀🥀🥀 The Spring Flower Set ðŸ¥€ðŸ¥€ðŸ¥€
With spring coming up soon, I wanted to make a few pieces that I will be able to wear once the weather starts to warm up. I ended up making three spring inspired sets for the season.

The first spring set are the Spring Flower pieces. I made the pendant using a silver pendant tray and cut out a beautiful flower from the Flower Washi Tape – which I just noticed is out of stock but there are so many other beautiful options available. I placed my cutout from the washi tape into the pendant tray, layered a small amount of jewelry glaze on top and then placed a clear glass cabochon to finish off the pendant.

The matching spring earrings are made using the Colored Daisy Brads.  I removed the clasps and added flat back earring posts onto the back of the brad. I then added different gems and a Clear Jewel Bling to add a bit more color and movement to the earrings. I love these and cannot wait to wear them!

🦋🦋🦋 The Butterfly Set  ðŸ¦‹ðŸ¦‹ðŸ¦‹
One of my favorite parts of spring are all the amazing butterflies that come to visit. This next set was made with them in mind.

I made the pendant the same way I made the spring flower pendant but instead of a flower, I cut out a beautiful butterfly from the Butterfly Washi Tape.

The earrings are made very similar to the earrings made for the spring flower set except I used the Butterfly Brads as the base. I removed the prongs and glued flat back earring posts to the butterflies. Turned out super cute and very unique!

🦋🦋🦋 The Tulip Set  ðŸ¦‹ðŸ¦‹ðŸ¦‹
My all-time favorite flower is the tulip so of course I needed to make a set that featured them.

The pendant is made the same way as the two others above except I cut of the tulips from the Floral Square Washi Tape.

For the earrings, I wanted to keep them simple and cute, so I took two of the Leaf Brads, removed their prongs and glued on flat back posts to the back and now I have the perfect matching earrings for my tulip pendant.

💮💮💮 The Blue Hydrangea Set  ðŸ’®ðŸ’®ðŸ’®
Last but definitely not least and probably my favorite set is the Blue Hydrangea set. I can almost smell them just but looking at these pictures.

I selected my favorite hydrangea from the Flower Washi Tape-Wide and created the pendant the same way as the others.

The earrings turned out extra awesome – IMO.  I had several earring bases in my jewelry making supplies and the Bumpy Jewel Heart Bling fit absolutely perfect into the heart shaped base! Like they were meant to be together. I glued them into the earring base and set them aside to dry.

I wore these yesterday to the grocery and got several compliments on both pieces. Ladies were asking me where I purchased them. I was beyond excited to tell them that I made them myself and explained how easy the process was to make them. They were shocked and excited to try it out themselves.

So, now you know you can always use your Eyelet Outlet products for your usual crafting fun but if you want to try something a bit different, just think outside the box just a little and the sky is the limit on what to create with little imagination and Eyelet Outlet embellishments.
