Halle Berry is STILL Ororo Munroe aka Storm of the X-Men!

I feel like re-running these pix of Halle Berry from the original X-Men movie series!

And, for the record, I believe she can still pull off the role when the X-Men officially join the MCU!

If you're good with Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart reprising their roles (as I am), why not her?

She's in buff shape, and CGI has improved remarkably since 2000!
The main complaint I had from the Fox series was that she was wayyyy underwritten by the scripters!

Almost the entire primary cast of the +X-Men Trilogy will be appearing in the new film except the currently-dead Cyclops (+James Marsden) and Jean Grey (+Famke Jansen).

It's unlikely +Kelsey Grammer or +Alan Cummings will reprise Beast and NightCrawler.

Dorothy Dandridge IS Melmendi, Queen of the Ashuba!

In her only genre role, Dorothy Dandridge played Melmendi, Queen of the Ashuba in 1951's Tarzan's Peril.

An original story, not based on any of Edgar Rice Burroughs' stories, the film was the third of five movies starring Lex Barker as Tarzan and directed by Byron Haskin, who went on to A-list genre films like 1953's War of the Worlds.
It was also the first Tarzan film to have scenes shot on location in Africa.
(Previous films used existing stock footage from other movies.)

One of the scenes from the film is recreated in the biopic Introducing Dorothy Dandridge starring Fantastic Femme Halle Berry as Dorothy playing Melmendi.
Here's a comparison between a scene in the original film and the biopic's version of it.
Melmendi, nor her tribe, the Ashuba, have appeared in any Tarzan story (in any media) since...

You don't think "science fiction / fantasy" when you think of multi-talented Saturday Night Live alum Maya Rudolph.
Why not?
Currently appearing in BridesMaids, she hasn't done much genre, but what she's done recently has been either top-billed or featured player!
But perhaps her biggest Fantastic Femme credit was her uncanny ability to impersonate other Fantastic Femmes including Halle Berry, Lucy Liu, Beyonce, Vanessa Hudgens, and Whitney Houston during her tenure on SNL!
Trivia:
One of Maya's closest friends is Gwyneth Paltrow, whom she's known since grade school!
Maya is the daughter of legendary soul singer Minnie Riperton. Her greatest hit, "Lovin' You", was conceived and written by Minnie as a lullaby for baby Maya!
