Nice gift. Good advice from Scott on hearing it sounds on your fronts. I picked up an old B&K 202 a couple of years ago and it’s very warm and musical.

I have used the P5 I use the P5 in a hybrid ht/2-channel set and really like it. P6 has different volume control and better DAC but I don’t use the Dac in mine.

You may have already done this but Cambridge support was very responsive to my inquiry on Tidal integration, maybe they can assist. At the end of the day the both work well enough and result is high quality streaming that satisfies my ears.

The Connect app was okay but the StreamMagic is better to me. The 851 is awesome and I have no desire to replace. I have an Auralic Mini in another system and the Lightning DS app is hands down much better but the 851 certainly best the Mini. Keep in mind that I use the internal DACs in both units.

No you have download from the App Store. I am actually using it now and I like it better than the CA Connect.

I only use the CA Connect for Tidal and disliked sorting options but found some work arounds by tweaking in the tidal app that translates to the CA app. Going to try StreamMagic for grins.

I have been eye that for sometime here. The paint chip messes with my ocd especially since it will be sitting on top and visible, still pondering.
