Curious to hear if you compared against the Aries Mini. Also, are you using the internal dac or external?

I have had Tidal for over a year now. Like the App and it sounds good to me. I rarely spin a disc.

Hey Scott - The room is pretty open but sub placement would be limited to a corner and I am concerned that the low end would become isolated. So a musical sub would offer cleaner mid bass?

There is no option for Ethernet so it would have to be connected to my WiFi network. Primarily streaming source is Tidal.

It’s worked out well for me, I wanted a pre with ht bypass and had the A23 already so it made sense. It does everything I need. I primarily stream through my Auralic mini. Some say the sound is analytical/sterile but to my ears there is good synergy with my 60s and it sounds great, wide sound stage, detailed and not…

Oh well. If I didn’t have the P5/A23 combo I would have jumped all over that.

Don’t bother bi-amping with an avr. Replace the brass jumpers with small pieces of speaker wire. Easy cheap upgrade.

Congrats on the Signature Series. I am fan of the Yamaha Aventage Series but Denon and Marantz make some nice AVRs and get kudos around here as well. As cfrizz noted having preouts is a plus as it give you the option to add a separate power amp later. Adding an amp will make those 60s sing.

Versatile speaker that sounds great for music and HT. Easy to drive and will sound good with AVR but great with more power. As long as you have preouts you can always add an amp later.

Off topic but what do you think of the Parasound, did you get the HINT6?

Internet remained the same and has been for years.

Yeah I guess the downside of the Spectrum service is no DVR but on demand access seems to meet my needs thus far.

Put the P5 and A23 back in my ht/hybrid rig. Man I sure missed it.

Well I did it, sort of. I terminated my cable with Spectrum and opted to keep their internet and go with their streaming service. New modem and router, all local channels and 10 cable channels plus 1 premium. No cable box or DVR but on demand programs and live tv. All for $107. Nice suggestion from Jimbo18.
