The name "Turnip Green Soup" is horrible-but the soup is delicious!! It's very good in the summer when you don't want a heavy,tomato tasting soup! It's light and sits well with you!! I like the name "Swamp Soup" that way my granchild loves it and my husband-but when I called it turnip green soup-and took it to a party everyone said ohh no!! Ugh!! But when I called it Swamp Soup-they cleaned the pot!!!and asked for the recipe!!

Turnip Green Soup 1 large can of Margaret Holmes seasoned turnip greens 1 can chicken broth 1 can Rotel tomatoes 1 can of black-eyed or purple hull peas (drained) 1 can of navy beans (drained) 1 can of kidney beans(drained) 2 cans corn (drained) 1 lb. smoked sausage 1 large onion Cut sausage into bite size pieces and put everything in the Crock Pot. Cook on low a few hours. Serve with hot cornbread.
