Someone had suggested this and I think there may even be an issue open for it. It's definitely a good idea and something I would like to add. I just haven't had time to do so. If I remember correctly, there is an Obtainium fork that does this, but I can't look for it right now. |

Ah, found the issue: #2598 What's strange to me is that they claimed that Obtainium already reads that file and that they added support by adding it, but given the commit is co-authored by Claude that's probably based on some hallucination. Thanks for your time. |

The author of Columba has claimed that Obtainium reads obtainium.json on repos to get (default?) configuration.
I have never heard of it and found no reference to it in the docs, in the issues, nor on the discussions, so I'm skeptical of it.
Can someone (hopefully the maintainer) confirm whether or not obtainium.json, if present on app repositories, is read by Obtainium at all?
