Pinecil V2 happily negotiates and accepts 28V via USB-C PD... #2186

Describe the bug

When plugging the Pinecil V2 into a USB-C PD power supply that outputs not only the typical voltages like 5V, 9V, 12V, 20V, but also 28V, the Pinecil V2 happily negotiates 28V. I have no idea if this negotiation is done by IronOS or by some hardware... but if it is caused by IronOS it would definitely be worth fixing!

To Reproduce

  1. Buy a USB-C PD power supply that also supports 28V (in my case a VC-C909 power bank), and a USB-C cable that supports that voltage as well (like the one that comes with the VC-C909)
  2. Plug the Pinecil in
  3. Watch the power supply display "28V" and the Pinecil "26V"
  4. Unplug it
  5. Plug it into a power supply that normally works and watch the Pinecil simply turn off as something's now broken(?)

Expected behavior

The Pinecil should negotiate 20V, not 28V, as 28V seems to have been too much for my tip.

Details of your device:
