Problem with hotkeys #29794

Description

The game seriously lacks the ability to add more than one binding for a single action type (cast/quickcast/autocast).

For example: I have the Scythe of Vyse item in my second inventory slot.

I need two different ways to activate this slot, and it would seem that I could bind the second slot for normal use and quickcast, and there would be two ways to activate it, just like I want. But if I only play with quickcast, then only one binding will be available.

In my case, I want to use the second slot with two different quickcast binds. I want press Mouse 4 or then Alt + Mouse 4, but I can only select one binding for quickcast :(

If anyone asks, what am I missing out on with this limitation? I've already lost several games, and sometimes I run into a really frustrating situation where I want to do multiple things at once, namely:

use the Alt key to activate Directional Move (with the setting enabled for this) and at the same time press the Mouse 4 key, which is the key I have bound to my second inventory slot (Scythe of Vyse).

Directional Move (alt) conflicts with the second slot (Mouse4). This prevents you from aiming and using an item at the same time.

At the same time, I have bindings on the fifth slot for a regular cast (B), and for a quickcast (Alt + B), and in this case, directional move does not conflict with the activation of the item on the fifth slot, because the Alt key is used for one of its variations. On the fifth slot, I usually have a force staff, which is pressed on itself and it is faster to do this through a regular cast (double-click on yourself) and as an alternative, I bind and quickcast for this slot, so that depending on the situation, I have two different options for how to activate this slot

The situation is different with the second inventory slot: it contains Scythe of Vyse, which only targets the enemy and will only affect activation speed, which requires a quickcast, but you can only assign one bind to it (due to the limitation of one bind for one activation type).

Bottom line:

Due to technical limitations, some items and abilities require the directional move (alt) option to be abandoned and lose accuracy, while some items and abilities can still be used simultaneously with directional move (alt) activated and not lose gameplay capabilities, but this only applies to those items that are not critical to activate either with a regular cast or with a quickcast.

Solution:

For example, I want to go to the quickcast tab for spells/items, then I just need to add the ability to add several variations for activating these abilities/items.

This is very important for Dota 2, as there are so many heroes, abilities, items, and units in the game that the keyboard is not enough. Such limitations further hinder the ability to realize one's potential and skill in the game.

Example Match ID (and possibly Timestamp)
