Three users this year have requested a way to measure crash events in mobile applications monitored by Matomo.

I did a little research. Things to think about might be

1. What context you get

• memory state, battery level, app version, OS version
• user behavior before the crash
• stack trace, error messages

2. Privacy / compliance (because collecting crash + user/context data may have implications)
3. Who else is in this space, how would we differ. Existing solutions: Firebase Crashlytics (by Google) , Sentry – sentry.dev, Raygun , UXCam, Embrace
