YouTube seems to have two URL channel formats which both work in varying situations:

• https://www.youtube.com/channel/ChAnNeLiDhErE
• https://www.youtube.com/c/vanitychannelnamehere

Channel IDs do not work for /c/ short names and short names do not work on /channel/ prefixes.
