It would still be a worthwile and welcome addition! Though colleagues from our meteorological department suggested to rather use ERA-5 (would have the advantage of going back all the way to the early Landsats). The general strategy would be the same though.

I would be very interested to do so! However, I won't make any promises as to when (or whether at all) I have the time to take a detailed look into ERA-5 and an integration into FORCE. Sadly, time remains scarce as I recently picked up other engagements that will likely become time consuming in the near future.

Sorry that I missed the notification from the thread. We primarily had the curiosity to use CAMS data as an alternative and wanted to know if FORCE already has something implemented. We have put this question on ice for now, and plan to revisit at the end of this year.
