So, would the next step be to pull in a simplified version of my Also, why can't it export as 3MF? I thought that took the GLTF doc as input now? |

I don't have any specific check -- it's just that there's no guarantee that an imported GLTF mesh will be manifold. The 3mf exporter will ignore a GLTF mesh that doesn't have the manifold extension. But yeah, next step is to bring readGLB across and see what I can do with that. |

I agree we should make sure the 3MFs we generate are actually manifold. Perhaps we should just print a warning about any GLTFNodes that don't use the manifold extension and so won't export to 3MF, and to recommend converting them to a Manifold and back to a GLTFNode to fix that. |

I've been prototyping importing, starting by skipping manifold itself:
These objects are bypassing manifold entirely. They're merged into the final GLTF document, but may not be exported as a 3mf.
This is useful for checking for fit or scale against other models. Or anything else that doesn't require full manifold objects 😂
All props to gltf-transform! It's doing the heavy lifting.
