Description & Rationale
I would like to request the addition of "Stam Ashkenaz" to the Google Fonts catalog so it can be utilized across Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, and Slides).
Stam Ashkenaz is a traditional, historic Hebrew scribal typeface designed to replicate the precise, formal "STAM" handwriting used by Sofrim (scribes) for sacred scrolls. While Google Fonts features excellent modern, classic, and cursive Hebrew typefaces (such as Noto Sans Hebrew, Rubik, Frank Ruhl Libre, and Tinos), it currently lacks a traditional ritualistic scribal script.
Adding this font—alongside its companion, Stam Sefarad—would fill an important cultural, liturgical, and academic gap. It would allow educators, researchers, and students globally to properly format historical texts, religious studies layouts, and educational source sheets directly within the cloud, removing the barrier of local desktop-only font installations.
Source Files & Repository References
The source code and font files are maintained via the open-source Culmus Project:

Thank you for considering the inclusion of these culturally significant scripts into the Google Fonts ecosystem!
