I've been using TLS to detect the transits of some known exoplanets in TESS data. Sometimes, the code identifies the correct orbital period with a high SDE, but the phase-folded plot shows the model’s mid-transit at phase 0.5 while the minimum in TESS data is shifted. Attached is an example (model: red line; gray: TESS data; blue: binned TESS data). I examined the code but couldn’t find a clear reason for this behavior.
I wonder if you have any thoughts on this issue and if there is a way to resolve it.
