Issue Description

This does not affect all input methods but many.

The problem occurs in

  • ibus-libpinyin
  • ibus-typing-booster
  • ibus-m17n
  • ...
    but not in
  • ibus-anthy

The problem does not occur on Gnome (neither Xorg nor Wayland), a different lookup table is used there.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Start XFCE desktop
2. Start gedit
3. Select "Intelligent Pinyin" input method
4. Type `nihao` + space.

The string 你好 is committed, most of the lookup table disappears but the part of the lookup table with the page-up and page-down buttons remains.

Can you reproduce your problem when you restart ibus-daemon? (yes / no)

Yes.

Do you see any errors when you run ibus-daemon with the verbose option?

No response

Can you reproduce your problem with a new user account instead of the

current your account? (yes / no)

Yes.

Add any other context about the problem here.
