Description

We have left the existing CRDs at v2alpha1 for multiple years. They are supported and mostly stable, so they should no longer have the alpha designation.

Value Proposition

To convey that the CRDs are more mature and to differentiate the versioning from new CRDs, such as those needed for Clients.

Goals

In a non-breaking way introduce v2beta1 as a replacement for v2alpha1.
