This wasn't always the issue but I've returned to BRAW Toolbox and FCP after a long absence.

Now I can't decode any higher than the lowest quality setting to get smooth playback. Doesn't matter how short the clip is. If I use the BRAW Toolbox effect on the clip and change the decode quality to anything else, it gets choppy.

And worse when I try and set it back to the lowest quality, it remains choppy still. Doesn't matter if FCP is set to Better Quality or Better Performance. And I set my project as blank until I drag a clip in to set the project with the same settings as my BRAW clips.

And if I delete the clip or even the entire project and try again... it's like those global settings that caused the clip to stutter has ruined the clip itself because the clip now stutters no matter what unless I re-use BRAW Toolbox to bring them in again.
