It would be really nice if there was a method to add light linking as a feature. An automated workflow by simply using a shortcut the light could then be linked to object below cursor or selected object. I think latter is difficult in this case, because when editing, the active object is one of the light

Perhaps using raycast, go check what is below the cursor?
