How it works

When performing a search on ISBN, patron has to remove hypens(-) from it otherwise he will get no results.

Improvement suggestion

Ideally, the system should be able to identify an ISBN based on its well defined and standardised structure and work whether or not hyphens(-) are part of it.
In terms of usability, having to delete these hyphens from the ISBN that was just copied from the web is just a waste of time for the end user. In addition, for people who are not so technicaly savvy, they might not think of removing these characters and will simply think that the document they are looking for is not available in their library, which is missleading.
