How it works

When a patron edits his/her profile or account, he/she lands on the global view. Problems:

• The patron may feel lost because of the layout
• The patron might not find easily his/her loans if the account of the other organisation is always displayed by default
• The patron won't find easily the link back to the catalogue of his/her organisation view

Improvement suggestion

Ideally, the public patron account is in the view of the organisation

• URL is different
  • for the account: /[view-code]/patrons/profile instead of /global/patrons/profile (also adapt it in all notifications sent!)
  • for the profile and password edition: /[view-code]/account/settings/ instead of /account/settings/. As these are managed at instance level, an alternative is to bring the user back to the previous page once the date is saved.
  • for the ILL request page: /[view-code]/ill_requests/create/ instead of /ill_requests/create/
• Layout/colors of the organisation are displayed
• Dropdown menu to choose the organisation (patron in multiple organisations) stays but
  • it displays by default the organisation corresponding to the view
  • it changes the also the view when we click on another organisation
• The patron stays in his/her organisation after editing the patron profile.
