I'm Robert, a software developer living in Central Oregon. I have a wife, whom I adore (of course), and a couple teenagers I also adore when I'm not nagging them to do the damn dishes.

For work, I juggle Typescript and Go at CodePen. For fun, I launch rockets with Oregon Rocketry. .

It's a good life.

So why sponsor me? Why do I even accept sponsorships?

Well, for starters, I maintain the uuid and mime modules. This isn't hard or particularly time-consuming, but it does require time and attention. These modules are depended upon by over 60M projects. I also maintain npmgraph.js.org and a few other projects that may or may not have crossed your path. And, too, I regularly contribute PRs to other projects I depend on.

In short, I'm one of those haggard souls doing my best to help prop up the house of cards we call "open source software".

I won't deny I'm proud of that. I have code running just about everywhere and that is arguably reward enough. But that is an abstract benefit, and sustaining projects like these for years amid the inevitable march of progress and life is challenging.

So these sponsorships - your sponsorship - are how I treat myself. They show that the time and effort I invest has tangible value to someone other than myself. They also buy me the occasional chai latte and a slice of banana bread at my favorite coffee shop.
