I was not able to nail down when and why is that happening but, for some orders on my shop, the bill_address_id is nil. It leads to a various kind of issues - like not being able to search orders by last name or end user not being able to access his order summary page. Around 3% of all my orders are impacted by that - not much but still enough to be noticeable by store admin who is not able to search orders properly :)

bill_address_id should never be nil

bill_address_id is sometimes nil
