Moving it to beta means: 1. Any job¹ doable in TextMate 1.x should be doable in the beta (e.g. live preview) 2. Functionality should be easily discoverable (e.g. create new file) 3. No glitches (e.g. no stalling during bundle install due to missing FSEvents or bad network) 4. All buttons / settings in the UI should be hooked up (e.g. Find All for Selection) 5. There should be coherent documentation for things that cannot really be discovered (e.g. format string syntax, various bundle features, many of the more hidden text editing features/modes/key behaviors) ¹ Job excludes meta-jobs such as editing TextMate themes, although lack of ability to handle these jobs should be resolved quickly once it goes beta (as at that point, we actively want to push it as the version people should download).
