The app assumes that if the current resolution's aspect ratio is landscape and the protected resolution is portrait, then it needs to change the orientation of the display. And the app tries to look for the resolution based on that assumption.

With some LG monitors (43UN700T-B in this case) it is possible to have a landscape mode in PBP while the ideal would be portrait and neither of these require orientation change.
