I had a problem running the script on Kali. The below error was seen.

Error:
Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 keyError: Can't open display: (null)
Failed creating new xdo instance
Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 keyError: Can't open display: (null)
Failed creating new xdo instance

Line 66 of the script has
export DISPLAY=:1

If this line 66 is changed to the below, it works.
export DISPLAY=:1.0
